My point is that there are a lot of hypocritical supporters, that you will overlook his off-field 'misdemeanours' because he is signing for you but woe betide if he signs for any other club then he will become the devil incarnate.

The man is poison and should have no place in a professional sporting arena, he attracts the wrong kind of media attention and has been in more than enough 'last chance saloons'.

The thing is we tend to make rugby players out whiter than white as they play in our family friendly sport where the fans can all mingle together and have a good time without any trouble.

The true reality is alot of young players are horrible, arrogant idiots who walk round thinking they're the big i am. I see alot of Wakey players up town and think do i really contributing to these idiots wages but as i love the club i still go. The problem is if we didnt sign Cockayne another team would due to his ability, so for me if we can support Greg Johnson we should surely be able to support Cockayne

Whenever i've bumped into the Wakey players on a night out they've always been a good laugh and happy to chat.

You met me know because I'm having an OK day we would get on great. If you met me after an argument with the wife and steaming drunk you might not. Players are the same as the rest of us and thus all things are relative I suppose. It's something some people can't or won't accept.

As for Johnson - I had misgivings at the time he was signed and if you recall, I was a vociferous opponent of those Shudds fans who claimed they were doing us a favour by 'giving' him to us; they weren't, they were releasing a fringe player who could prove to be a PR nightmare and in the event, was, but for us not for them - shortly after he signed, the Wakefield Express ran a front page picture of the girl who had been assaulted with a pretty inflammatory headline that did WTW no favours at all.

However, in this country we're innocent until proven guilty, so I kept my powder dry; if he's since been found guilty, then we should take strong action both to do the right thing and be seen to be doing the right thing.

Well said! I honestly wish we hadn't let him go. Whatever you think about him off the pitch he will give you 100% on it if this deal goes through. I bear him no grudges whatsoever, he's done some daft things, he'd put his hand up to that, but he's also served our club well on the pitch and was always happy to spend time with the fans.

I wish him all the very best and if that is with you and he does prove himself, I hope you appreciate him.

Get Him Signed up he will go well for us can play a few posistions
