I really like Miller but
Nigel Wright was a superstar in the making. They signed him at 20. Played for England
Henry Paul was a superstar in the making. They signed him at 20. Played a lot for New Zealand and England RU
Jackson Hastings had proven himself a star in NRL and then in UK. Took a no chance team to Grand Final and won Man of Steel. They signed him at 24
Miller is 29 with a settled family, no representative honours even close. He has been more successful at the smaller club like ours than the bigger clubs he tried first.
So I'm not sure your long history of 3 players really makes that point. |

That is a poor argument, it makes no sense IMO. Paul was with us for half a season as a virtual unknown, whilst Wright played 27 games. Miller has played 174 times for Trinity, just how risk-averse were Wigan being! Salford got Hastings because they had space under the cap
The truth is Miller is a name Wigan fans have picked up on in a game that is short of creative players, hence the rumours. |

Recent history has shown that Mr Carter's loyalty to certain individuals hasn't exactly done us any favours... And in any case it should be WPs decision.
I only hope that WP will select on form alone and might consider a new on-field leader. |

In my opinion the captains arm band is a honours position and always has been to some degree, same in football. In cricket the captain is hugely important being a genuine decision maker but in RL it’s more one of lead by example. In this I think Miller does well.
