reminds me as a lad when every time we played St Thomas à Becket their year was Englands junior champions and every game we used to get mullered 40 plus points, it became difficult to get out of that mindset knowing that a game was coming up it would end up being the same, all other teams were on the same level but we managed to be on the upper hand, it came to a cup final and low and behold the opponents was again beckets, before the final we trained to different strategy as we had already excepted we wasn't going to win but we had changed to keeping the score below a certain level and to score against them which we never had before, in the end we achieved both, you would of thought we'd won the final at the end of the game
I don't expect this to be applied to Trinity but achieving with under rated players is possible and you shouldn't expect a loss I never do

rocky could probably play most positions but they need to get him fully fit he’s not been fit for over 12 months, his main asset is his pace and watching him the other night is clear he’s not moving and struggling, the thing is he as stuck his hand up when he probably shouldn’t. I coached Kyle wood as a kid he was a very talented half back and kicker and is probably better than Miller and lino still as he could run the game. You can feel a bit for crowther and wood but some make a fist of moving positions and some find it hard to adapt, they try their best but it’s alien to them, they both can tackle well but it’s the distribution side

Mosley good defernision of what a hooker should do You could ad backing up a break to score ,or make ground or been able to take control if your 6 and 7 get injured ,and taking pressure of your 6 and 7

The way the game is played very robotically these days a good nine will have the responsibility of getting the team round the field, the lad at Hull is a good example Danny houghton, came through the juniors as a 6 and developed as a nine and can also kick a ball. He does the job he’s put there to do

Maybe instead of being so critical you could offer a solution having watched Wakey for the past eighty years, if Chester's as clueless as you say he might be desperate for your input, personally though I doubt he'd be that desperate as to listen to you and the other armchair internationals that criticise on here.

Didn't Chester say after the Dewsbury game that he had picked up a knock to the ribs, then a few days later that strangely changed to an ankle injury. Was that because Chester knew he wouldn't be fully recovered for the Leeds/Wigan games so was trying to protect him ??
Having suffered a broken rib on two occasions, I know from experience that it takes around 3 weeks to fully recover, so maybe Lino is playing through the pain barrier and will start taking the line on more in the next couple of weeks ??

Seriously in my opinion a good hooker at acting half should be able to throw a good long accurate pass directly from the floor without having to straighten up and take a couple of steps first thus wasting a vital second in which the opposition are up on the receiver. Sadly in the modern game there aren't many such number nines although Miller seems pretty good with his distribution when he goes to dummy half.

I regret that unlike in football when the board say they have full confidence in Chester they mean it. I believe they have decided that the club will survive or fail with Chester in charge. I would have hoped that Chester himself would think that he is just not working and that he would not wish to see his hometown club slowly sinking into oblivion. The fact he is still here despite a 19% win record suggests he is either blind to the team’s performances or actually thinks it is not his fault but theirs.
We the supporters are left to follow whatever he leaves behind both with the team and the club itself.

Never read anything anywhere about your coaching credentials who have you coached then?, maybe having a lad what plays for the club elevates you to the status where you think you know more than an ordinary supporter.

I think if your being kind to the coaching team - Hampshire’s not fit , linos carrying an injury jowitt , (allegedly) battye wood are actually out due to soft tissue injuries - so with exception of miller and westerman all our pivot players are struggling - personally think that’s a bit of a giraffe - we are only two weeks in after longest close season I can remember. Yet we just look exactly like the team that finished last season . Same issues of poor numbering up in defence , fading in second half etc etc tbh looks another long season ahead

In all seriousmess Kyle wood is 32 shortly so we really should be thinking of the future , crowther is only a stop gap solution probably as big a worry is how ordinary j wood looks ball in hand and how little game time he’s been getting
