| What happens if a group of away fans end up in the north stand and take root? Are the stewards going to kick them all out of the ground? I can see a whiole boat load of problems if they try that. I think this could well have an adverse effect on attendences. It could well put off home fans whole normally stand on the western terrace and away fans who prefer to be behind the sticks.

Thats the trouble they have not asked anyone. When any trouble flares up who will take the blame? West side for me, always was and always will be, I dont want to see the game from behind the sticks.

| Im totally against the idea of putting the away fans down oneside, it seems totally pointless considering the amount of home fans who are saying they will be staying down that side this year. You either have no home fans allowed down that side or you dont bother with segregation, it just seems like instead of trouble in the northstand it will be down the western terrace.

| That's actually a good point. If Key are worried about trouble, even though home and away fans have shared the Northern Terrace for decades, then this measure merely relocate the potential concerns, albeit on a more restricted area.

| On this subject i'd rather see the job done properly, put barriers up segregating fans then there's no grey areas, do the job properly or not at all!!

All I can say they should get a ban from all rugby grounds, If a super league club , football club or any other sport as a home end policy then fans should respect to wishes of the hoste club, if I went with a group of fans to say Cas and they said it is home fans only, I would respect that clubs wishes and not sneak in/force my way in or cry like a baby and demand to go in...

All the issues raised on here were raised in the meeting with James. We all agree that the intention is good and that is in the application that we all have 'concerns'.
Whilst we have a voice, we do not control the clubs actions - but we do wish them well is this endeavour.
I also stand in this area - beneath the tea bar - so it will affect me directly!

I have no issue at all with any club making part of their own ground home fans only. But the problem is the western terrace isn't going to be away fans only. So the club can't play the segregation card due to previous problems as they seem to be trying as they aren't actually segrating anyone! All they are doing is shifting the problem elsewhere, hence why I foresee problems.

I don't see massive problems, most of the more vocal and tanked up trin fans will go in the North Stand, leaving the away fans to mix with the decent and pacifist Wakey fans on the West Terrace.

Yeah ok! ![Rolling Eyes icon_rolleyes.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_rolleyes.gif)
So no problems to come?
This weekend I'll guess we'll have Wakey fans claiming go North! We'll have HKR fans in the North standing claiming we've always stood here. We'll have the majority of HKR fans on the west terrace and Chav corner (one of the more volatile areas) claiming we've always stood here! Not much chance of trouble there.
We've got Hull and Cas to come too!

If fans respect the wishes of the club, there will be a great day had.. it's no use saying no swearing, respect match officials etc.. If fans are not going to respect a clubs wishes, after all we are rugby league fans in a family sport, I'm sure the fans will be good.. ![DAISY icon_biggrin.gifAISY:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//daisy.gif)

Laugh away, I reckon maybe a few teething problems as it's first game it's implemented but nothing major.
Think the troublemakers will want to "go north" anyway if it's going to be the kop. The few aging drunkards loitering near the bottle bar aren't going to do much when they are surrounded by a couple of thousand away fans.
In fact they might even be driven into the North Stand anyway, who the hell would want to stand with 1500 East Hull dwellers?

Agreed, i can't envisage any trouble with the fans who stand on the West Terrace, they're pretty mellow and welcoming to away fans. The main issue is H & S. If the home fans are allowed to move between stands freely, how can you possibly ensure that no more than 1,800 (the capacity) are in that stand?
Alot of people are a custom to moving at HT, this could become problematic if say a large group from the North stand wish to move to the West Terrace to see the second half.
It would be alot clearer if the West Terrace was away fans only and less problematic. I wouldn't and i'm sure many others wouldn't like it but it'd be a whole lot easier for the club to police

I think part of the problem is that there isn't an easy way to get away fans into the East paddock. If they come in via Doncaster Rd turnstiles then how do you "enforce" them going into the East stand, at least with the West stand it has it's own turnstiles.

Which will push as many people out of the north stand as it gains.

Allocat 2 of the Donny Raod turnstiles for Away fans, with the remainder for home fans.
Assuming that we are not going to errect fences and barriers, and segregation can only be done through gentle coercion and then root out any troublemakers.
FWIW BV isnt really set up in a way that will make segregation easy and nor should we want it to be.
Banter with visiting fans actually adds to the "gameday experience" but perhaps not anymore ?

That only works if it's at capacity though - even vs Cas it wasn't full so again, no problem.

| Thank you for all your comments.
Can I point out that the decision was made in October 2012 after various consultation meetings with the Wakefield Council, West Yorkshire Police and Key Secuirty. All three parties were very happy with the adjustments and management plan provided, but I must stress that we need support from all fans to make this a positive decision by the club.
We experienced several problems within the Fleetmaster Stand (North Stand) during the 2012 season, mainly due to home and away fans migrating to this area of the ground. We believe that our actions for the 2013 season will minimise issues and improve the fan expereince. Lots of supporters, home and away have expressed their concerns about specific problems and it would be unfair not to act upon these issues.
We will increase our bevarage offer in the Fleetmaster Stand and East Stand/East Paddock so all the fans will have a similar expereince, but a system can only work if fans adhere to it. I can assure all fans that if they respect our ground policies and regulations then the Rapid Solicitors Stadium will be a very postive expereince for everyone concerned. We will incur some problems on the evening but hopefully with everyone cooperating these will only be minor issues and dealt with in a professional manner. I would recommend supporters arrive within good time and expereince a very good pre match package which includes 16 community clubs taking part in a festival, loveable rogues and Daddy Cool.
Thanks again for your comments and enjoy the game
