Looking at last year's results, people generally got 8 or more, usually 10-14, rarely 6 and very occasionally 4 (there was one particular week which must have had freak results). Maybe 6 is a fairer score for a bye?

The thinking behind the retrospective bye was to be fair to those who post every week.

Imagine the situation where someone wins the league by being equal to someone else all season but misses one week and on that week the other person posts but only scores 4 points and loses out.

I'm not sure if you can still do polls on the new look board, but if you can I'll do one to get views before we implement it.
