| i dont agree with the burnout..my little un trains with school and his club and also boxing twice a week..lock lane were beaten today by a stanley team who had 2 lads playing there first game and 7 who started in the mini season .. they will only get better as the years go on...all credit to lee and stan and the boys for making the step up !

| Quote ="muttley cat"and there we are complainng that our school never trains? I proper feel for you and i can figure the 3 players . Kettlethorpe school does not speacilse in any sport so no major input is given but speaking to the head rugby coach he was talling me about the rugby set up in the castleford schools and how they have 2 teams and that it ends up with with good club players not making the b team . and that the coaches puch the rugby more than some academic subjects .this im sure you could confirm but in my opinion its a little to much for 12 year olds who still want to roll down a big hill.
im really pleased stanley won , i still have a soft spot as i know a couple of your parents do and im sure the victory was earned, but it should be a massive wake up call for the all blacks yes you got beat this week but next week is another day and im sure come saturday the lads will be motivated .
i just hope that all this pressure does not wreck players like your lad and some others whom i know pretty well , you did very well players from stanley and you had others .
anyways . good luck . but not score wise until the week after

| Greetland got off to a steady start in Div 4 U12s -- winning 18-12 against New Earswick.
They really didnt know what to expect after just moving over from West Yorkshire League,so good to get off to a postive start.

i wish it had been 6-9 weeks out its been 12 weeks and counting already, still only at about 60% but his rehab has gone ok although he`s just having a few days rest before giving it a real go in training on weds although i think sat might be a week too soon possibly back for the stanley game.
i wouldnt mind if he`d broke it playing rugby it was his bloody scooter which has already accounted for several stitches and plenty of grazes "his balance is terrible but he thinks he`s good" but kids will be kids and you stop em doing it if they enjoy it.

| Quote ="bren2k"[url=http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/sandalspartans/Sandal Spartans ARLFC[/url is a brand new junior rugby club for Wakefield, born out of a mutual agreement with Stanley Rangers for the former U13's 'A' team to go its own way; we therefore start out with an U13's side, and will be looking to add more age groups as time goes on. Our first season is in the WYJ league 4th division, after the nucleus of the team finished top of Div 5 last season, with 2 games in hand.
We're based at West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club in Sandal and have access to some fantastic facilities, including floodlit 3G training pitches and an outstanding club-house; our Tues & Fri training sessions and home matches will take place there.
We're currently recruiting players (like WTW, we need a big prop!) and crucially, looking to get sponsors in place for the new season; anyone who's interested in either can PM me or the Head Coach, known to RLfans members as The Clan.
Cheers.'"
Hope you don't mind me asking, but why did you choose to break away from Stanley?

Mutual agreement - having two U13's teams was putting a strain on resources.
I'm glad you bumped this - we need one more sleeve sponsor to get on board, then we can go to print with our new kit; have a look at the website and get your chequebooks out - we're only looking for a modest amount!

| Wondered if anyone can help, my son has been training at a club for the last 4 months but I have decided to change clubs as I did not a few things at that club.
I want to take him to my most local club Stanley Rangers u-8's. I looked at the web site today it is said they train on a Wednesday and Saturday at Ferry Lane, went to Ferry Lane and the club after tonight and no sign of any training. Can anyone tell we where and when the u-8's train at Stanley Rangers, or at least point me in the right direction please.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me with this.

| ITS TIME FOR Mutts predictions HUB. Sponsored by bread n dripping sarnies (They suck)
After last weeks disaster lets see if i can do bet
Shaw Cross Sharks V =#FF0000 Cas Lock Lane
So then start off with the 2 teams who caused me the biggest shock SCS winning at Panthers and CLL losing at home to Stanley . I did say last week that Lock Lane one of the faves for the title but you must produce at home taking nothing away from rangers that was a poor result for the cas outfit. then Cross who I always get a sense play their very best at home , so not only are they dangerous at home they are coming bouncing off wining at panthers up against a down trodden lock lane . if Lane are to make inroads now would be a good time although it is still early days . i just get a feeling Lock Lane will be more awake this time around and squeeze victory.
=#FF0000Stanningley V East Leeds
Going to seem a little unfair but i actually was at east Leeds last game of course and they don't look ready yet, although last year they won this fixture and i don't think another 50 pointer is on the cards the power of the big centres will be just to much . must learn to move up in a line.
Castleford Panthers V Crigg all blacks. the old saying a good team don't turn bad overnight still remains in my opinion , just forget about last week is one quote im sure will be ringing in the panthers ears as will you know you can beat these. ive seen these two fight out a draw and seen them play amazing matches , in fact when ever you see the panthers the brayton tiger commands you see a team with a game plan and one with just 1 will , a will to win . they will be up against a mirror image of a team on Saturday the main problem both teams normally suffer is that the quota is full . sometimes of course injuries come around and 1 or 2 players get pin pointed as the main guys . this will be IMHO the match of the with out a doubt . i'm hoping to get along to see the 2ND half . but i have a prior engagement at the lock with my hero who actually plays for Stanley what jumper should i wear is my main concern. oh yes the result crigg to edge out in the last third"
Oulton v Stanley R
Right then this time last week according to my predictions i would of been saying oulton to continue good run hang in Stanley a win will come soon . as we now know oulton lost Stanley shocked me senseless . and it is for this i must now say that even so early that momentum is a great thing . the rangers spurd on by the 3 players they got on the park last week gave lock lane a massive surprise . this will be a battle royal . the 2 big guns from last years division 2 . may come down to a missed conversion or a sloppy tackle but i think last weeks results will have a big impact mentally . i remember this rangers team in the 10s going 17or 19 (i need confirmation) unbeaten when the YJL thought otherwise within weeks they were trouncing teams in group 1 if you believe you can win you will Stanley but close

Fantastic, lads. Not that I have a vested interest, but there may be others reading who'd like to get their kids involved... or is this just a closed shop?
Maybe you'd like to post where Stanley Rangers U8's train/who to contact? Just a thought...

I can certainly tell you that Sandal Spartans U13's train at West Yorkshire Sports & Social Club on Tuesday and Friday nights, from 6-7:30 and that at this moment, they're looking to recruit a few more players - specifically a big beast of a prop and a wily scrum half. If anyone has any such secret weapons sat at home playing too much xbox and becoming increasingly surly with each passing week, they need only contact The Clan or myself to enquire.
Something like that?!

far from being a closed shop but this take you to Stanleys Rangers website

and details could then be passed on to the relevant coach in charge for that yr but I wasn't going to post the said persons telephone number on here if I didn't knew the person asking

That's fair enough, mate. I just think a lot more people read this board than post on it, so it doesn't do any harm to give a general pointer to folk who may be interested. You never know, you might pick up a few extra players, or parents willing to chip in with some of the organisation. And it costs nowt. ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)
