I totally agree. Some people want to have a good look at what they have posted and should be totally embarrassed!!!

Some on here have short memories, I bet they were'nt saying these thing last week at Wrexham.

In my experience people who are loudest and harshest at having a pop at players are those who've never played the game, certainly not a high stakes game with enormous pressure and expectation like yesterday. Others have already said it - it's a young, inexperienced team and yes, at the moment, not quite good enough, but they're giving 100% and that's good enough for me. It's easy to shout abuse from the safety of the terrace or sat at your keyboard but those who are bagging Morton and others need to give themselves a talking to.

Why are some people surprised that our young players may not be fully ready for SL yet ? 5 months ago we didn't have a team! The errors/misjudgements and even lack of skill will come from young players - watching the replay of match today a comment was made that our back line has an average age of 21. Morton will be a cracking player if he keeps developing (his finishing in particular is awesome) - Howarth, Veivers and even Hyde have stood up this season because the coaching team have asked them to. They are all giving 100% - they are'nt all yet the finished product and some may fall away when we are in a position to strengthen the team but at the moment they are playing for us and should have our support and its a joy to watch them - win or lose.

Absolutely; I'm sure that in the cold light of day, when the blood has cooled and the booze has worn off, some people are going to be very embarassed about what they've posted on here.

Thought Morton was put in a terrible position from an awful pass for the Ferres try. The stripping of the ball at the end was supid but hey we all make mistakes.

He made a stupid and costly mistake it's done and dusted now. That apart he had a decent game and I'm sure he will learn from it.

Yes Morton had a brain fart at the end,but the first try was down to Vievers,the pass but Morton under pressure on a one on one situation.
Most players have brain farts from time to time,it normally occurs towards back end of game and in part is caused by fatigue.

What Morton did was just plain daft, fatigued or not. Yes Vievers did him no favours with the first try but he should have done better. The penalty was a ridiculous thing to do. Two crucial errors that cost us the game. He deserves the crititcism and he'll have to deal with the flack, take it on board and come back a mentally stronger and better player. How he reacts is up to him now.

90 minutes of heart and the game was ruined by a guy that blatently ripped the ball out. 1 more game if we would have won it may have saved our SL status and for someone to do that with 2 seconds left its one of the strangest things ive ever seen in sport what a plank !!! Seriously this wasnt a mistake it was a sin and a disgrace!!! I dont even think kevin penny would have done that !

It wouldn't have saved us. They would have heated up our ball, nice and hot, to be selected as soon as Wigan or Wire come out. That's if you like conspiracy theories. Which, on here, we do.

Exactly - players do daft things when theyre fatigued.

Morton didnt cost us the game anymore than numerous other players.

you could blame our half backs for their crap kicking game,you could blame Amors loose carry,Howarths missed tackles,Kings late high shot,Griffin spilling the high ball.You could even blame every player that had a pathetic attempt at a drop goal.
Sorry,but plenty more errors throughout the game,collectively cost us that game -- not just Morton.
