Lee Gilmore would be a good signing for me as would any ball playing back rower. Of our out of contract players Drew, Martin and Blanch would be priority, heard already wilkes has been offered a new improved deal, another player who fully deserves it.

I wouldn't be happy if we signed him on the kind of money they are talking about on there.

The club have clearly set the ball rolling for next season in sending Scully out on loan to the Giants, the club definately want to offload him due to his salary

Chris Walker is a solid player, but has just come back from a serious injury, that coupled with his age and his well documented off field problems, would make him a definate 'no go' in my opinion

Talking to a few fans at yesterdays game it was suggested that our huge dip in form follows the same pattern as previous seasons. This dip always happens when our players start their contract talks.

Yet again we have a group of players who are showing their lack of professionalism.

No doubt some of our players may not have received an offer from the club for next season, some may feel they are worth more than they have been offered. Some will have been advised by their agents that other clubs are interested.

This has got to stop. You are pro players, start acting like pros, put your dummy back in, knuckle down : show that you are worth a contract.

If you look at the list of players who may come on the market from other clubs I think we have no reason to worry. I say to those players who are not signing their contracts, sign now ie today, by five pm sign your contract or the offer will be withdrawn and sling your hook. It seems that its the tail wagging the dog. The players are paid well to do a job that they love, all we ask as fans is 100 % effort and it seems we are not getting it, if it is because you are having a hissy fit over contract talks then you are a disgrace.

I understand what you are saying but it's just not that simple anymore. Theres clauses and bonus details that need to be sorted out and then it all goes back and fourth from the club to solicitors to agents etc etc and then has to be agreed by the player. End of the day the player has to get as much money as he can, most get a good 10 years with the odd exception that can play 15+ years to make money.

Petersen out Dave Halley in before it is too late. Dave Halley wants to play for us he loved his time at wakey. Halley is a player that will play with heart. And he would be a much needed pace injection for the team.

Im sure Petersen has another year on his current deal. Everyone seems to be getting on his case, and granted he has not produced the goods for us yet. But the guy needs a consitant run in the team and needs to get some ball. Since he arrived he has been blighted by injury. Get behind the guy for gods sake, it can't be easy moving to the other side of the world, havign a few bad injurys then all the so called supporters having a pop all the time!!

With regards to having a clear up i would look to off load:

Rooney, Bibey, Sculthorpe, Henderson, Drew.

I think Rooney is way out of his depth in super league these days, Bibey is playing better this year but does not warrant a new deal. Sculthorpe has not performed over the three years and needs to go, henderson, average player and his time to go has come, Drew has his age against him, good player on his day but i dont feel should be offered a new deal, we have obst and latu to cover hooker.

Don't agree about Drew he is class and shows it whenever hes on the field. Hendo has improved vastly this season and is probably worth a contract as a squad player, Scully well its blatantly obvious he won't be with us next year, Ronney I agree, Bibey for me has never been bad people just don't understand his role in the side but if better are available then replace him, also from what |I've heard Moore has been causing quite a few problems and disrupting the camp, if this is the case then either make him apologise to the squad or ship him out, no one player is bigger than the club.

Agreed pretty much, depends if any of our other hookers are ooc in regards to drew.

I'd also add martin to that list.

I would keep Drew. Bibey/Hendo squad players that we will need during a season and don't cost the earth.

Rooney, well i just don't know, its maybe time to part company.

Disagree re Martin he's a class player and the younger ones could learn lots off him. Seems nicely settled (and fully fit) this season and has played some great stuff for us, I've seen players just give up the ghost after not performing to the best of their abilities during a season but you've got to give Tony credit for the way he has obviously applied himself in the off season to get prepared and fully fit for this season.

Actually why didnt no one think of bright sodje and wasaile sovatubua they'd solve our wing problem, n martin pearson would have slotted them goals over at bradford

Rooney's had more opportunity than any other player in that squad to show his potential and establish himself at the top of the game. It hasn't happened, and it's unlikely to happen, IMO. Spend the money elsewhere.
