i said about 9600 i was little shocked at the announced figure. shame cas saved their worst performance for the biggest crowd of year. many of them new fans (cas that is) will not come back which is a shame. good turn out from wakey given the conditions as stated above wakey stand at the railway end.

this isn't sour grapes or anything, but surprisingly bulls fetched a few more than you but i put that down to the weather. a dry night and i;m sure there'd of been closer to 11500!

finally, well done on your performance and comfortable win, just gtted we couldnt give you a game, especially in the second half. we lacked spirit and huinger. wakey looked mile more up for it and we proved we cant play in the rain. thank god it;s summer rugby

Agreed but we both now it won't happen, have tried to get people to come and have succeded but we need more of the pub/sky fans to show up.

Got to be best for ages, singing in pub before game with Cas fans, that is how it should be, even non rugby fans commented that it was great.

FACT is it was the worst cas have played all season FACT. another fact is wakey were by far the better team and addapted to the conditions better than us. first half both defences were equal to the challenge second half you wripped us appart and we fell to pieces. god knows what i said to get you rattled.

and what was laughable about the crowd. by the way - cas's worse performance on the terraces too last night - our away support is great but at home it's gettign like a library!!!

when you hear supporters say it was the worse performance they'd seen, do they not realize that it the way the opposing side has not allowed them to play

truth is cas choked on the big occasion again

to be fair it's not easy to tell the root cause and it is often a combination of both. we need to not lose sight of the fact that with the ball in the first half we were awful, no better than cas who were equally bad i can not remember a half with so many unforced errors.
our victory was based in the main on terrific defence which is very pleasing and hopefully the foundations upon which we can build for the dulls tomorrow.

Agree about the defence but as I've stated on the Cas board it's our ability to bring a number of players on who can change the game - Drew, Brough, Obst and Martin in this case all took a turn. With Cas it soon became evident that Sherwin was not going to be allowed to play and once he was out of the frame Cas had no options. Had they taken Drew out in the same way we would still have had other options - Kears playmaker hording is really paying off.

This monday Obst is out but the player who replaces him Latu still offers plenty. How many other teams have so many options, they may have individually better players but not enough IMHO.
