The draw for the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup (Men's) will be broadcast live on the BBC News Channel's Sportsday programme on Monday 24 April, 6:30pm.
All 12 Betfred Super League sides enter the competition at this stage, joining the four Championship clubs who with home advantage made it through the weekend’s Round Five ties – Batley Bulldogs, Halifax Panthers, London Broncos and York Knights.
Sportsday is available on Freeview (Channel 231), BBC iPlayer, BBC News Channel online, Sky TV (Channel 503) and Virgin Media TV (Channel 601). England Women’s Captain Jodie Cunningham will do the draw.
Cup holders Wigan Warriors will be ball number 15 while Batley, who defeated St Helens in the very first Challenge Cup Final 126 years ago to the day (24 April 1897), will be number one.

Round Six ties will take place over the weekend of 19-21 May. Broadcasting arrangements will be confirmed in due course.
Quarter-finals will be held on 17/18 June, semi-finals on 22/23 July and the Betfred Challenge Cup Final itself on Saturday 12 August – alongside the final of the Women’s Challenge Cup and the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final.
Batley Bulldogs, Halifax Panthers, London Broncos and York Knights will also go into the hat for the draw for the Semi-finals of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup. The draw will be made on the weekend of 17/18 June and ties played on the weekend of 23/24 July.

Indeed, its bad enough this season without been dumped out of the Challenge Cup by Batley, London, York or Halifax, all of which could turn us over with how poor we are.

I know we pulled off a shock win at Warrington last year but I recalling feeling just as pessimistic pre the draw then as I do now. 2022 was a freak and it is certainty that we will follow the script this year.

Away at Cas or Halifax should have a good atmosphere. I would prefer an away tie.
Home to York is probably our dog's chance.

An away fixture will put paid to any (slim) chance of progress.

But will give us a share of a larger gate. Slim sounds a bit optimistic there.

Well, I'm away on my holi-bobs for the QF, so won't actually miss us playing as we'll have been knocked out in R6..........

If I recall correctly, we were coasting at 14 or 16 nil just before half time hooter. Chris Riley cocked up under a bomb when he failed to take it cleanly and it went into touch off his shoulder. Leigh scored off the scrum and got a roll on. We fell apart 2nd half.

At least we won't go out to a team in the Championship.

It would have been interesting to go up against a Championship side to see how we compared.

They'd have us as long as they could score seven points.

4 wins V Trinity for Leigh this year then.

Watched the highlights last week (yet again) you were leading 22-0 just before HT, and 24-6 at the interval. You scored some easy tries in that game, still no idea how we managed to win it. Glad I was there to witness it though.

Chris Riley never really broke any pots for us and that error remains as my over riding memory of his time in a Wakefield shirt.
We did go on to beat Leigh in the end of season middle eights that culminated in the £1million game against Bradford.

I'd be quite happy to have a Chris Riley in our team now. He could score a try.
