Not sure how you can pick a team based on last nights game if you didn't see it.

| Dreading this one. Not only because of the woeful consecutive run against them, but also they're better at bouncing back from a defeat, especially when the next game is a local derby.

| Don't know where we go after last nights performance, I don't expect wholesale changes but some players need a big look in the mirror . I expect a vast improvement after that showing and if they can't get up for playing our nearest and dearest then they shouldn't be playing.

| No point making big changes to me.
Good players don't become bad players overnight.
Would be nice to have Fifita back but only if he's fit. There is a lot of games still to play.
Grix plays for me. He has a mare every now and then but usually bounced straight back.
Finn v Hampshire I'm not sure about. I think I'd like to see Hampshire again.

| He dropped Jowitt, Hampshire, Johnson and MCB after what was perceived a bad performance which for the first three was Leeds at home. This was actually one of our better attacking games.

Your right I don't know you, but from your kneejerk reactions' from past results plus your admission that you did not go yourself last night and you only going on hearsay from your son leaves me with the opinion that here's a chance for another negative reaction from you, just my opinion like.

| You don’t need to have been there to see it was a poor performance! I’d make wholesale changes if it was me...in everything we know of both teams it’s a game we’re more than likely going to lose whoever plays...I’d be looking at 5 or 6 changes...let’s get the young, local lads in for a derby...youth, energy, desire...all that we were lacking last night...Jowitt, Johnstone, Hampshire, Batchelor and Annakin in for Grix, Arundel, Finn, Kirmond and Baldwinson...would also look at bringing Pauli back in too...pointless having the best 25 man squad we’ve ever had if you’re not going to use it when you’ve been walloped 38-4 by a team below you in the league...

Every now and then? If Chester drops players on poor performances Grix should definitely be one of the first for the chop. How disheartening it must be for the likes of MCB who came in, played well and then made way for the favourites who then went to underperform.

| Haven't seen the game so I dunno what Grix was like, he's the favourite for a bashing if things don't go well but quite often I just don't see it, I think there must be some heavy Jowitt luv ins going on, so much so that Grix could have a stormer and still get slated, so I'm reserving that judgement till I've seen the game.
Finn....Finn needs his hand fixing, not sure what the sketch is with that but we have cover, so I dunno.
Everybody else is an attitude thing, wouldn't change anyone that I feel is 100% fit and up for it, chances are they'll be busting a gut to put right everything that was wrong, individually and collectively.
Not putting Fifita in unless he's fit, there is history with him and Cas, he'll want to play but we don't wanna be clouding judgement with that.
The coaching staff know what they're doing, they will pick the best squad available no matter what, nothing is black and white.

The experienced players were dire against Salford along with the wingmen. Bishop and Tupou were uncharecteristically poor. Tupou I felt for as he was fatigued from the off. He should get a rest espevially with the backs we have to come in.
Grix I rate but I’m sorry yesterday he was scared of running the ball in from the back. Catching the bomb could’ve easily made 10-20 yards with a direct run but either passed or ran sideways leaving us starting the set in the 10-20 instead of close to 30-40. Finn and kirmond were penalty machines along with Horo who imo just isn’t good enough (bar the game last week where he was good).

| The Cas match is a whole different kettle of fish. Kirmond has been playing well and is always up for the Cas game. Fifita is a must if fit. MCB or BJB is neither here nor there. Jowitt must come in for Grix. Hampshire for Finn. Batchelor for Horo. Annakin is another who would give his all v Cas. Tom J. back in the team please.
I'll leave the rest to Chester

Grix was garbage, although he wasn’t alone there. To be honest i thought in a good team performance last week he wasn’t that good either. For me it’s time to give Jiwitt an extended run. Put it this way, it’s a case of use him or lose him now, he won’t stick around as second choice much longer.

Equally we are very unlucky to not be 10 from 11. Such have been the fine margins. Jog on now troll, the facade is becoming tiresome.

| when cc took over he put Jowitt at full back and the quickest back line in S L saying fear free rugb .The year after Gix came and with Fin .Got the first team spot straight away even though though they had been let go by there clubs. We are now reaping the results of those signings two players who are to slow for S L keeping young faster players out .The best rugby we have played by far is against Hull and Leeds when both Grix and Finn were not picked .A great team performance against st .But down to Lyne and Topou having great games and our fowards puting there bodies on the line.Arundel to me as not shone any thing that Lyne and Topou can not do in the and much faster. Try Arundel in fowards and lets see if that works.Just hope that Max,Rocky,Batch ,Annakin are given a chance if not can see us in bottom four

| Grix stays for me... He's leagues above Jowitt when in form which could return at any given time. I would like to see Batchelor in the side, home grown and hungry to get his name out there, always seems to bode well in a derby which is why Annakin always screams out to me in this fixture but I doubt he will play.

| Grix plays for me too.
The back row is a bit harder to decide.
I thought Horo had turned a corner but I wonder whether Arona is better at 13for this one.
Kirond and Ashurst then take the back row with Batch fighting for the bench place.
This time if I were picking I'd put Annakin on the bench above Batch...if we don't play Horo. Horo at his best is my preference though.
7 is a real dilemma. If Finn was just on AN off day then fair enough as we'll need his old head.....but any doubts over fitness (finger or otherwise) and it has to be Hampshire.

Why would you pick Annakin over Batch? (Don't want that to come across as a confrontational comment).
I would play Horo providing he is at his best, I've never seen such a difference in a player... how he can go from a top super league standard all the way down to a standard where he wouldn't make a championship side imo... it's not worth it in penalties and errors!

The problem with that is how do you know which of those two Horo's will turn up?? I assume Chester is looking at his form in training and deciding that he can expect to see SL Horo, but then we get into match day and Championship Horo appears.
Personally I'd give Batchelor and Annakin a spot for the Cas game, but it's not my job to make that decision it's Chezzy's so I'll wait and see.
I understand that anyone can have a bad day at the office but we have players waiting in the wings for a game and some of them deserve a shot after the performance on Friday night.

Well that's it really isn't it... CC obviously looks throughout the week to see who he puts in his side however even he cannot be 100% certain that come game day he's made the right choice.
If I knew 100% the best Horo would show up, he would be in the side for me.

| Agree but Horo has probably been sub-standard more often than not and may benefit from a week out of the squad. I would like to see Crowther or Annakin given a chance on the bench tbh, think Annakin played well in the 8s last year and earned his new deal.
