with the modern technology of the Etihad stadium who's enjoyed the new camera angles.
think the ref cam is pathetic shows bad angles and out of control shooting, the ref look like rambo's and I fair bet are uncomfortable and put them of the game in which they have to concentrate in getting the right decisions.

think they are taking it too fare for me in the coverage of the games

I'm the complete opposite - love them both . I think they're using them too much at points , but that's up to the director etc.

I thought the coverage was crap, poor angles, 'spider cam, made me feel sick and it often looked very foggy!

I thought the ref cam reminded me of the 'Aliens' movie, with the space marines getting caught out by the aptly named aliens. "there coming out of the walls", and Gansons favorite, "KILL MEEEEEE"

Spider cam is a good idea but the coverage and angles needs soome refinement...its a bit 'unpolished'. They're clearly not used to using it for RL.

As for ref cam, it looks like a blair witch project effort and doesnt appear to be alligned properly with the refs line of vision.

I think we're guinea pigs for another sport where sky plan to use it week in week out.....

Think Spider cam is a bit hard to get to grips with, and leaves me a little dizzy and dissorientated - but it shows it's worth on the video replays I think (well, as long as it's not a narcistic granny bashing attention seeking wedding crasher pressing the buttons that is).

Refcam needs to go, only time it adds anything is if there is a scrap.

I thought the ref cam made the refs look like Quasimodo and their heads look like they had a japs eye.

ref cam is currently doing richard silverwood no favours. Calling charnley for grounding the ball in goal, then the ref cam replay clearly showed otherwise.

OMG do it just show how poor the referring can get poor decision, one thing it does do having all the technology it shows the mistakes.

no excuses for our game but the Dixon try that was a forward pass makes me think the lines on the grass should be used as an aid to eliminate tries that shouldn't be given and offsides that are borderline

I don't understand how all the people on Sky were saying that forward pass try was fine?!? I also didn't get why despite having all the cameras they didn't see the Cas player ground the ball behind their sticks either?

Refcam made them look like The Borg - didn't serve much purpose apart from illustrating that the myth about RL players respecting the ref is just that - how many times did it show the players crowding the ref and gurning at him about one decision or another?

Spider-cam was good, if a bit over-used; the view it afforded of McGuire's disallowed try was splendid.

Spider cams fine but i don't like the head cam.


The more Cams we have the less mistakes we have, simples.

Can't stand Stuart Cummings but having him there certainly clears decisions up( McGuire try for one), out of all the things they tried this weekend I'd say we need a ref on the commentary team to clear things up.

I had hoped that having Cummings on board would shut Stevo up - alas, all it did was give him someone else to argue with.

Didn`t like either, tends to distract from the game watching it flying about during play. It is unnecessary and most likely costly, I say get rid, plus half of the SKY pundits, then they could bring the subs down.

I don't how you work that one out because there was some massive blunders this weekend and the cams just made it so bleeding obvious and nothing was corrected.

Liked em, the spider camera i thought gave some great shots when swooping behind the attacking line. ref cam was also interesting at times

Spider cam moved too quickly for me and yeah, I felt woozy looking at it. I was leaning over the second teir at one point watching it and genuinely felt I was falling.

It was shown as the first replay of every try and for me it didn't make things clear - it was neither overhead nor from behind, and the rate at which it was moving made everything really unclear.

Ref cam shows the direction the ref's head is pointing, but doesn't actually show what they're LOOKING at. Peripherals and all that... It also bounces and bobs about a lot as the ref is running.

I aren't completely against new cameras etc but they're not for me - thankfully we won't see spider cam at most matches.

If we had it down cas, somebody would only nick the wiring that holds it up...
