TBF,I agree and posted it before kick off,another mind boggling team selection.
Its a seventeen man game and it really is time Kear woke up to this and stopped making these crazy team selections.
That in essence is about the 4/5 time this season Kear has selected a bench that has seriously hampered the overall balance of the team.I stated after the Quins victory,that one win wouldnt convince me we had turned the corner in regards of Kear and his coaching,but tonight confirms he is losing the plot.

in a game hindered by rain the first fifteen they had to have their pampers changed, we was in control but they changed their play to throwing it panic style to get back on on top, which they did, you can't knock the lack of effort and blood split in trying to keep up with them or should we just turn our backs on the players, coach and club,

Once again JK puts out a team charged with tactics which proved adequate to win the game - but for a rush of blood from Gleeson just before half time with the unneccessary pass to Blanch and any number of barn pot errors from Latu. Im staggered that people really believe that getting beat by 6 at Headingly, under such circumstances, is JKs fault.

1,gleesen shouldnt be on the pitch in the first place and 2, we got so close while only having two forwards on bench i think we may have sneaked it had we had more freshness in the pack,3 had davy been involved latu would not have had to come back on cos yes he was garbage

A team that suffers massive distuption to their season and suffers a six match losing streak. Then makes a convincing return to winning ways against a side with renewed confidence. Followed by matching try for try THE form side of the competition on their home ground.

Snowie,firstly,if the club was to collapse if Kear went,that doesnt really say much about us.It also smacks of one man being bigger than the club.Im brassed off listening at games to supporters saying Kear saved us from relegation -- how many years will it be until this debt to Kear is considered to have been repaid???

Im not knocking the effort,im knocking the team selection by Kear.It appears he will do anything to accomodate certain players,eg JD,however poor they have been.His overall team selection tonight had us at a disadvantage straight from the kick off -- irrespective of the weather. and this is now 4/5 times he has selected a bench that even Stevie Wonder could see is plain dumb coaching.

Would this thread have been started if we had won this game, would Kear be a bad coach then?

We lost to a better side on the night in shocking conditions, it could have gone either way.

We lost with a makeshift side to the 3 x Champions, of course we all know best and have an opinion and we could do a better job

For what it's worth we were questioning the bench beofre kick off it's not made with the benefit of hindsight. If we had won I would still be saying it makes no sense to have a bench with blaymire and jeffries on it

I cant believe that we put in a very good showing at Leeds, and still you have to be negative. Be positive, not many teams get within 6 points of them at home. Give them some credit.

I was pleased to see morrison back and when he left with the binning that is when the game turned,
at 18 all it could of gone any way so how do you call for the coach head

completely disagree, the game turned (again) at that point when Demetriou dropped the ball for the 4/5th time right before that in his own 20/30

you can also blame BJ not holding on to the ball when smith punched it out into touch, the weather did play a major part in this fascicle game didn't it

Disagree with the criticism of the bench, as he was always going to use the subs to interchange with forwards. Forward goes off and JD goes into pack. Murphy moves into centre and Blaymire comes on. Latu goes off, Obst goes in at 9, and BJ comes on to go at 7. Now I haven't got my calculator out, but I bet no forward played more because of the selection than they expected.

Seems a simple strategy that might have kept Leeds guessing a bit, and with that selection we slugged it out, toe to toe, against the champions who played well.

Yep, JD spilled a couple of times at crucial moments, but so did others.

In respect of Gleeson and that pass, it could be equally said that Blanch should have been ready for it. If the pass before then had gone to a man, Gleeson wouldn't have got the ball in that position. Leeds try passes like that all the time, and when they come off, they are geniuses. Gleeson tries it and it doesn't. One of those things.
