Yes - in that he has an opinion!

FWIW I am worried that the 2 are entirely linked - until someome else is appointed for the job.

However, even if JK was to leave for the England job, we are undoubtedly much, much stronger in our coaching set-up than we were before he arrived. As such we are better placed to survive without him - I just hope that isn't for quite some time to come - yet!

What do you want me to say? If he left i would never utter his name? The bloke saved our club and i think to be fair he is to wakefield what kevin keegan is to Newcastle. Our leader, saviour and king!

If he goes yes i would be gutted but i feel that if he left i doubt it would be forever, WTW is as much under his skin as it is ours!

The Wakefield Head Coach has also reacted to the reports linking him to the post of England Head Coach left vacant following the resignation of Tony Smith following the Gillette Four Nations Tournament.

Kear still has two years of his contract with the Wildcats remaining and he said: “While I’m extremely flattered to be linked with the national team, I still have a job to do at Wakefield.

“Nobody from the Rugby Football League has been in touch with me or the club and I’m concentrating on the task in hand at the Hearwell Stadium.

“I’ve been tasked by the Wakefield Board of Directors of providing the best possible first team; developing a successful career path for players all the way through from the Under 18 team and ensuring we have a football operation that will satisfy an application for the next phase of Super League in two years time.

“Those are my priorities and my focus.”

We have slipped up both ways in the past and either been sat around for ages waiting for it to start or snuck in at the back late!

I'd get there for 7pm to get a seat, then everyone comes in late and it starts 15 mins after its supposed to...

Entertaining nights TBH

They are brilliant nights and I would urge anyone who hasnt to make the effort.

There is beer, banter, snippets of information released, see how the personalities are behind the names, reasoning for decisions given that at first are confusing and there is of course pie and peas.

What more could anyone one want?

Also listening to John Kear talk and you soon realise why he gets seemingly 'passed it' or 'no hoper' players back up for it.

I've always fancied going, but until I move back home to Wakefield its not something I can do. Fingers crossed, I'll be moving back to Wakey soon!
