| I know Wakefield did an offer for the Catalan game in order to boost attandance, and personally i do not think just under 5k was too bad to say that Catalans bring hardly any, but are the admision prices too high?
I am no maths genius and i know you have to take into account concessions/juniors and OAP, but the principle will still apply.
Surely it would be better if the prices were say £15 and we got 10k=£150,000 than charging £17 and getting 6k=£102,000????
The atmosphere and support for the team would be better too.

I agree the prices are too high, I know a few who don't got every week due to the price it costs.
But the atmosphere IMO has improved quite a bit this season. Mainly in the "kop" end though

| £3 difference would almost double the attendance??
you should be the chancellor of the exchequer.
IMO to see a significant rise in gates (on price terms) you would need to charge about half, which wouldn't result in double the attendance.
i think the pricing is fair enough

There well may be games in which the club could try deducing the Admission against certain teams
But to be fair the club can't win can there, The club need every bit of revenue coming into the club as much as possible to help pay for ie Players wage's/ all Staff /Food / electric bills etc

I appreciate that and we all want the club to do well, but if we could reduce the price MAYBE more people would attend in the short term pushing revenue up immediatly as we have more through the turnstyle and increased support. Then when they are hooked increase prices again next year!

| The great sporting public of Wakefield will always find an excuse why they
don't attend games. If we reduce the price there will be some other lame excuse why they don't go to games, we all know these type of people.
Leeds and HKR both charge more than us and they seem to be going in the right direction crowd wise.

I agree but if it's too expensive then it's too expensive no matter what is going off on the pitch. It is a shame as the lads deserve better support.

York have the same problem, there is more Rhino fans here than City Knights fans

So will we still complain at the price's then OR will we be happy where in a lovely new Stadium & other fans can't complain of having to pay £17 to stand outside in the cold n rain

| i think that a better offer on season tickets could help. if the price was say £150 then we might sell more before the season starts which brings in revenue early and would encourage more people to go to the games that they wouldn't normally attend. also maybe to go around the schools a bit further afield, i live in a wf3 postcode which is leeds really but i have taken some of my sons friends to games and they have really enjoyed going. thing is it is a bit expensive for an adult and a kid if the kid isn't a season ticket holder.

I just hope we don't become too expensive,
we would still have to entice the new and old fans into the new stadium, they maybe a novelty at first but its keeping them coming.
we have had a season tickets for the last three season, which forces us mentally to put our selves out to go watch, harder to go to all the away matches, as you know when the family goes its a massive outlay week in week out.
and standing in the rain, only once did the mrs complain and she learned to wrap up and has never complain again

| the tickets are pretty "price in-elastic" ie we have a core and they turn up if its 10 pound or 20, if we halved the prices could we say that double the number of fair weather fans would turn up to make the cost difference?
I agree though, the prices are far too high for Rugby & especially our ground and will detract people from going...particular when theycant spend any of their profits on a light bulb for the toilet

| Based on the current SL teams, there will always be 3 home games a season where the away support is low to non-existent.
We may not have brass to burn, and we can't afford a Huddersfield style gamble at the moment, but we should still be able to treat these games as a potential loss-leader to attract new fans, IMO.
The offer made by the club obviously wasn't sufficient to entice people. Lets hope they come up with something more appealing before we play Quins/Celtic. The losses for these games with special offers should be relatively small, but the way we're playing at the moment, the benefits could be huge.

Agreed.
We aint goin to attract big crowds for 3 games a year. The hardcore will turn out whatever, Why not experiment with a few ideas to try and
increase our base support by offering cheap deals on these 3 match days?
Buy a 3 game bundle get a game free?

| so that will be 2 games when season ticket holders lose out, i can't remember the exact benefit from buying a ticket early but if this happens more often then we will be losing out.
sorry to be negative but the benefits of buying a season ticket are being eroded.
