There was nothing yesterday to sulk about - we did some good things and we did some things we need to learn from, but there is a much bigger battle raging and there is genuine belief that we can convince the powers that be that this club deserves to retain it's place at the top table of our sport.

Wakefield is going through something of a renaissance, and our famous sporting club is part of that and has a bright and vibrant future. The players focus must be on what comes next - starting next Sunday in a vital clash with the Catalans Dragons.

So it's time to back the boys and raise tham to be the best that they can - the only enemy worth worrying about is the next one!

Geez - you don't get this stuff at all do you! We have got what we have got. We had the best selection available at the club out there and they gave us the best that they can - what more can they do - better than their best???

The club are seeking players, but 1 -they are not available and 2 - they will generally not commit to us due to the Licencing situation. That does not mean that the club are not trying - although I doubt that this will be good enough to suit some people!

Not everyone will agree with this but even though we lost it, (cas didn't win it) it was a great advert for RL in Wakefield and in Yorkshire. That match will put bums in seats, inc mine.

With Hickey and possibly a couple of others joining the club we ought to be in with a chance.

I replied on the Dale Morton post as regards spot balling wakey players.in my eyes every trin player gives 110% in the shirt,BJ never looked like he was comfortable for one reason or another.I agree whole heartly with TRB let's move on and take our revenge out on Catalans.

In one word, NO.

We have gotten rid of a good supporting player (on his day). Not overly creative IMO and we got rid because we were paying him to sit on his backside because "our coach" has decided that other options are better for us.

When you've got your coaching badges done, then you can apply for the job and you can control who comes in/goes out (obviously subject to finances). I reckon you'd last a week!!

We lost a two point game, in the most bizarre sircumstances i have witnessed.
Had we have had Chase, (whom in my opinion wasn't exactly setting the game on fire) we would have probably won, but at the start of the season we didn't have the money for such a player, and in our present plight a player of such calibre is hardly likely to find us an attractive proposition.
For what its worth, i think all our players are giving huge value for money, if we want to have a chance of sneaking top 8 we need better player, but i'll happily support this lot, because they have yet to let us down.
As for Jeffries, if you think he would have won us that game you are clearly lost to us, and i wish you well.

I am prepared to stage a vastman v kinleycat MMA cage-fight in my back garden; the kids have got one of those big trampoline jobbies and I'm sure with a bit of modification, I can get it fit for purpose. Couple of quid to get in, all proceeds to the WTWDSA. I'll do the round numbers in my mankini - something for the ladies and all that.

Or perhaps the governing body of your new sport (you must have one, they know how to ruin, sorry run things like this!) will let you put on a few bouts, then tell you that your back garden is no longer suitable, despite people attending and enjoying it.
Then stop you from staging further bouts and create their own equivalent in a place that no-one really wants it!

Now I know this all seems really far-fetched and I can almost hear you saying "what sort of governing body would do such a thing?"

But don't they understand that internet forum grudge match garden trampoline cage fighting is a traditional sport in the Storrs Hill corridor, with generations of supporters drawn from literally all over my street? You can't just stage a bout in some big fancy back garden on Station Road or Kingsway end expect people to turn up!
