Still a bit of a shift in thinking to hand Gleeson the centre spot and put Martin in at stand off.

He'll fit in well with the rest of the players then  . Thought his defense this season has improved in the games he's played, that cover tackle he made after chasing back about 70m was a pleasure to watch. Rooneys been good for us and the club has been good for him too. If this is true I hope he makes a good fist of it and earns himself some decent money. |

That's a bloody good question. For his build, the only place he could play would be fly-half - but he can't tackle anywhere near well enough for that position. His kicking isn't good enough for league let alone for union, and he isn't any good with ball in hand either.

There's no way that any Premiership side would sign him & I can't see a National 1 side signing him either, so if he is moving to union then the likes of Otley would be the best he could hope for. |
