Im really missing not being involved in SL this year..!!! Nothing compares to playing the top teams and putting in a great performance or getting a win against them ..plus the atmosphere !!1 Anyone else feeling it tonight ? just hope we're back in there very soon .

I don't mind tbh, we are where we are and I think we will witness some great rugby league home & away.

It’s great that we are feeling good about where we are as a club with a new owner, new staff, new stand, lots of exciting signings, talk of more stadium development and the prospect of being the big dog in the Championship.
The harsh reality is that we got relegated and will ply our trade at Batley, Whitehaven and Swinton. What’s most lamentable is that we really didn’t need to get relegated, that was a choice made by the previous owners.

That said, we’re riding the crest of a wave of positivity, with hopefully a winning team and maybe even a Cup Final at Wembley

Watching the warm up and it looks like Wilkin has transferred his hatred of Wakey to cas this season with us not being there. Not at all complementary towards them

I’d prefer SL.. but we needed a reset, as others have mentioned we need to get the feel good factor back, and all the signs are that is starting to take shape…
We definitely need to get spectators watching a winning team. Get the fans that have been missing back in the habit of watching matches

They’ve put a real good show on tonight, off field anyway. Must’ve been a great atmosphere at the ground.

First 25 minutes wasn’t the best rugby I’ve ever seen. FC lacking some structure, Morgan Smith definitely struggling early on.

Class to see Kelepi back on the field, absolutely unstoppable from 10m out in that position.

I know it is only round 1 but if FC play like that for the rest of the season, then they are going to be in serious trouble

well that didn't live up to the hype... I think our first 17 would have given either of these two teams a run for their money! on that performance.

That will be a big flop. Wire will continue to nose dive this year and I have them down for 8/9th. Two mediocre teams that should do better but rarely do.

FC were terrible. Long season ahead for them by the look of things.
I don't mind being on the outside looking in for a change, more relaxing watching the games knowing
it doesn't affect us either way this season.

Totally agree, think sky must have been listening to the fans, the commentary was 100% about what was happening on the field, concise and accurate with no anecdotes about "the old days" and "bring back the biff" no irrelevance, very enjoyable, just need to get rid of Wilkin now. I thought Sam Tomkins came over pretty well if I'm honest.

Some of Hiku’s kicking attempts were like watching someone sloshed up at a BBQ playing that game where they run around a bat in circles, get dizzy and try kick a ball.
