Really pleased that we've put our strongest available squad in for this one.
Although we should beat Widnes, they will come over with a huge point to prove and it promises to be a lively first 20 mins.

We must take them seriously.
Far too many times over the years we have slipped up against lesser opposition.
The collapse against Leigh a few seasons ago springs to mind and a reverse away at Dewsbury (this was a few years back).

We should be looking for a 20+ point win but, progress through to the next round without any fresh injuries will do nicely.

Through to the next round with no injuries will do! Good to see Batch back.

Then draw winners of Dewsbury v Halifax.

What's happened to Gelling?

Im really glad to see we are taking the competition seriously. It's our more likely chance of silverware and would be a dream come true if we could win it for me. It would be a further sign of the progress we've made if we could have a run to the final

Thought I heard MC say a few weeks back the wanted a dig at Challenge Cup this year.

I dont know if you know him personally, although I'm sure that he is loved by all Widnes fans but, will Jonno (the great one) be coming accross on Friday.
I'm expecting him to ride into town on a white stallion and I believe that Belle Vue is one of his favourite grounds to visit.

I'm not convinced he's a Widnes fan tbh.

Gastric's a Trinity fan mate, so I don't think he'd know what that plonker's up to, unless that's not what your suggesting WC.

Hasn't it sunk in yet that Chessie has picked the ONLY squad available to him.

I thought CC might have rested some of the forwards, they must be absolutely knackered not being spelled.

CC has confirmed Kirmo and Randell to miss out this week. Kirmo rested, Randell shoulder, but both ok for next week.

Milky back next week, England 'should' be back next week, Ashurst is 'close'. Broughy back after Magic Weekend.

Slightly off post, but does anyone know why there is no stadium parking for the Widnes game.

Spoke to someone at Kirmo's night yesterday, they had rung the shop and been told there was parking. They said they didn't know why it was on the website and it would be taken off. It was still on this afternoon.

It means there is no parking for anyone that hasn’t pre booked. I’ll get it amended
