Main points..

Signed a two and a half year deal.
No new assistant coach this year, Stuart Dickens to take on more responsiblilty but will be one person down this season.
No real change likely or necessary to team structure on the field.
The difference will be in how he gets his point accross to the players
Looking to re-sign some ooc players and looking at recruiting for next year but difficult given position.
Not just looking to finish 12th, looking to catch Salford and possibly Hull.
Tautai might be fit for London game.

To be honest getting them fired up and looking interested would create an instant improvement.

Hope he has a few ideas re: attacking structure. We look a tad impotent at present.

Edit: Not one to whine about trivialities but you'd think they could find a place to conduct interviews that doesn't have people coming and going, doors banging etc in the background.

He's got a bad feeling about everything!!

I feel he was being a little guarded in his answers and possibly saying what he was expected to say but I do believe he sounds more positive with a realistic aim of not just surviving.
All in all I like what I have heard so far

First thoughts, 2.5 years is a long time to commit to a bloke in his first real go as a SL head coach (granted it may be as a championship coach next season), secondly, no change likely or necessary to the team structure. Forgive me I didn't realise there was one. I would say this needs more attention then any other area.

2.5 years is bonkers. Must be to ward off the suitors banging his door down. And if he really doesn't think much needs changing then WTF has he been watching

Just been to an event for Raleigh's testimonial and he said agar was of charge of defence whilst Webster had been in charged of attack

You know what, it may have been in charge of reviewing in video sessions. May have not got that 100%. Apologies.

We just don't learn do we. Personally I would have given JW until the end of the season, as I would any other untried coach, especially one who has been involved in coaching the garbage I've seen this season.
As for the interview this is very much open to interpretation as to exactly what he means. Whatever terms he uses he clearly has a major job on his hands to motivate the players and get them playing to potential and as a team.
I'll back him and we'll see how it goes, I only hope my fears are proved wrong!

Its starting already and he hasn't even got one game under his belt. If hes crap hel be off , and I would think before the end of the season . If he can give some stability and keep in SL he will be with us next season.

Not with a 2 1/2 year contract in his back pocket he won't and we'll be back to not being able to afford to get rid. I'd have probably gone for 18 months at most. It could have always been extended if successful.

His radio Leeds interview was much better, 32:23 it begins and he talks about motivating etc. Lets give him a chance, Agar goes and you'd think the moaning would stop - nope not at this club we're never happy. We got what we wanted now lets get down to Belle Vue next friday.

Exactly. Not moaning at his appointment just the length of contract given.
He has my support in full at the moment.
