With the new structure having been voted in, what can anyone do to protest and show the RFL exactly what some of us think.
Our club has survived in SL for 14 years and we have used most of the Cats 9lives up in doing so, but finally the RFL have found a way to drop us into their all new tier 2 (or second mini league) this assumes that we wont finish 8th or above in the coming season.

Pains me to say it but the most important word in your post is survived. If we make a success of Newmarket we could be a top 8 club, sadly, at the moment we aren't imho.

If WTW hadn't got into bed with Rhino's you might have had your own say in the matter.

Let's just get on with it we will be alright.

On subject, just get over it. As much as I don't like it you have to face reality. All this victim thinking makes us sound like we've already given up on next season. If we don't want to fall into this black hole we have to make sure we don't finish in the bottom two. With the addition of another half back I think we have as good enough squad, the balls in our court. it's simply a battle to not be in the bottom 2, its between us Cas, London, Widnes, Bradford and possibly some other wildcard team. Time to dig in.

It isn't technically relegation is it, it's just removing you from the playoff top section.

Then if you finish in the top 4 of the next section you get to try to win the GF next year, it really isn't as radical as a two league of 12 two up to down system. You have to be better than 4 teams not just two, 4 of which are semi professional.

Not finishing in the bottom two is now the be all and end for our club and looking at our squad it is going to be a very tough ask. Given our lack of resources if we go down the chances of us being a top flight club again any time soon is slim to none.

Out of interest what happens regarding Newmarket if we are no longer a superleague club and the income that it brings?

If you keep surviving then you have nothing to worry about.
If your new ground happens you have everything needed go be a top 8 team.

With regards to the OP you can do as I have done in recent years and boycotted all internationals and the farce that is the magic weekend.

But you punish yourself for no benefit, the club's run the game how they best see fit and there isn't a one size fits all soloution.

At the end of the day i enjoy the 80 minute battle involving my team, and I go to as many of those as I can because I enjoy it, the format is secondary and of little importance. There is still a competition to be won.

Nothing will change and after 3years another system will be in place. For me the games one disaster after another, to call it progress is a joke. It is and will remain a wilderness sport watch by dedicated supporters, played by athletes who are constantly poached by union or Nrl, while the clubs find it difficult to run on a day to day basis let alone for a full season. The RFL are the working mans club committee and we all know whats happened to working men's clubs . With no long term plans I fear for the game in general, and feel sure that only 8 or ten clubs will be playing the game at the top level in a few years time. I will still be watching my club at what ever level but the administration of the game can go to hell

You're wrong here.
It means that if you don't finish 8th or better, you are in a relegation battle and IF you are not a regular top 8 team, recruitment of top quality players becomes more difficult.
The top 8 get stronger and the teams 9-12 get weaker, it's not rocket science.

But have you any idea what alternative was on the table? It was far worse than this and destructive to the game!

If we end up in the 2nd tier, it's because of the state the club is in thanks to years and years of spending money we didn't have and general mismanagement. No conspiracies or blaming the RFL, it's out own fault, simple as.
