Big well done to the players today



Gave it their all but yet again silly penalties cost us try's. Thought Charlie was out of sorts again today but well done to lynn today he got involved more today than the last few games he has played.

Well done Wakey more of the same effort next week against Salford.

Lynne was alot better today which was good to see.

Such a shame that one got away from us. You could argue with all the mistakes, forward calls and kick straight to touch we had no right to be in the lead in the closing stages.

Poore and Tau were very good along with Amor who looked to get plenty of yardage.

Ref for the most part had a good game buy that penalty for holding down with Wigan in a 5 point lead looked dodgy as there was worse unpenalised offences at the play ball all game.

Defence particularly in midfield was for the most part tough and uncompromising. Alot better today and I can live with that.

Defence was immense today and the forwards were making good yardage. This gave the backs the opportunity to play their part in a fantastic effort.





Even the Wigan fans around me said that the score flattered them.

If we played like that every week .....................

3 kicks out on the full, a stupid forward pass when we had pressure on them plus a couple of other brainfarts gave Wigan help they didn't need. Great effort by the lads, but a bit more control and creativity needed.

Poore and Kirmo OUTSTANDING!

Amor, Collis, Tautai, Kirmond and Poore all excellent today. It was nice to see the forwards stepping up to the plate. Only thing I an criticize was the silly mistakes made by some of the halves. We need to learn how to catch a high ball.

So does a honorable defeat in a game that we were never going to win anyway excuse the rest of the rubbish that's been served up this season?

No

It doesn't excuse the KR and Cas results. That's been the story at Wakey, brill results and effort one week against a top side and crap the next against a bottom 5 team. We also always help a team with poor form go on a good run. Well done to the boys today, but a win next week a must.

I thought they were outstanding, let in 2 sill tries but all in all a good effort, lost steam in the last 20 minutes but so did Wigan. Mr T is awesome and Kirmond as usual leading by example. Good effort

Dannys 2 tries made the Wigan defence look ordinary,Tomkins looking for a penalty all game and finally got it for the crucial 7 point lead.Well done to all Wakey players.The forwards were awesome

more of the same next week please.The Wigan fans behind us were very relieved little bunnies ,still managed to talk drivel all game though.

As much as Fox gives me the jitters under the high ball it was once again we let tries in on the left flank.That was a good effort thats for sure and the players need to be backing Tautai up when he goes forward as a few times if they had he would have had the ball out to them.Shame Walshaw stopped when Charnley scored in the first half if he had carried on he would have knocked him into touch.

Am I the only one who thought we didn't get a fair crack from the officials?

There were a few forward passes from Wigan that weren't pulled. Als occasions when he could have pulled offside and let it go.

Nor the Bradford, Salford or Hull results. As much as a win next week will be pleasing it will be too little too late, it will also be very surprising considering known form this season and the fact that Salford got a hiding today that they will want to make amends for at home.

Can't fault 1 player today. In an injury hit makeshift side we gave our all.

The team work their off and all you can do is search for a way to bitch about other results.
Of course we've had a recent slump but there have been some excellent games this season. But you concentrate on putting them down if that's how you feel.
You must be a joy at parties.

Well done to all today. Great game, decent crowd, nice weather. Unfortunately result didn't follow on but it was worth the entrance money. That's enough for me.

I think Uncle Albert was wrong on more that one occasion, the Danny Kirmond play the ball incident and the phoney holding down. However the boys done good and on the whole it was a very enjoyable game apart from the result. If only we could play like that on a regular basis we would not be looking at 11 points but actually top 8. Next up Salford, we need to show the race horse man that us whippet racers are the business.

Thought there was an obvious head high shot Amor earlier in the set that we got pinged for the forward pass which gave them the platform to score one of their second half tries. Not sure how alibert missed it given the one he gave against Kirmond which was no worse

Cracking game today, a lot of errors from both sides but thought our pack did a great job considering the weather, just ran out of steam in the end. Great response from Agar and the lads today, obviously 2 points would have been nice but I was expecting a hiding to be honest, so a spirited defeat isn't bad against a team like Wigan.

Big game next week though, if we defend like we did for 70 mins today, we'll give ourselves a decent chance.

He "AGAR" used up the subs faster than normal to try and keep us in the game and it worked untill we ran off at the end.

That was always likely to happen but imo it was the right way to try and steal the game.

Much better effort today which is good to see, lets hope they keep those levels of commitment going now for the rest of the season. Thought Kirmond was immense but most of the pack had a real good dig. Out left hand side defence is a real achilles heel though, Lyne was all over the place and left Fox with no chance. Fix that up and the wins should come over the next month.

Don't blame the officials for the result but thought we had some hard calls against us.

Thought they only got a penalty which led to a try when Fox was coming back into the line after being injured because Richards protested and Alibert consulted with his linesman. Had it been the other way you feel he would have just played on.

Wigan's last try (which didn't effect the result) was short and then placed over the line which is a double movement and a penalty to us but Alibert and suprisinginly the in goal judge misssed it. Even Wigan fans in hospitality could not believe it.

Overall after the previous 2 weeks I was proud of the team and have no complaints. They "manned up" and if we continue to play the same we should pick up 4 points from our next 2 games.

To be fair I thought Kirmond going off injured was a big part of it by taking away a forward for the few remaining interchanges at the end.

Alibert is clueless and at times just makes things up.

I bet the Wigan fans feel the same.
