What would your all time top Trinity XIII be?

Nothing official as yet but Trinity Heritage are researching all things Trinity and its 117 year history. We are asking ex-players their best XIII which they've seen play or played with and we are fascinated what the fans think.

Obviously not many will have seen Trinity pre-war and many players will be 1960 onwards.

As Kinley has said, there have been some proper legends that have pulled on the famous Red, White & Blue with obvious reference to the great players of the 60's, but i'm not old enough to have had the pleasure.
Also, some of the players that we've had have improved after moving on, particularly B. Westwood, who was an excellent player for Trin, but has certainly improved x 2 since his move to Warrington.
So i've gone for players based on their performance whilst with Wakey and tried not to base on what they may have done before/ after they were at the club.

I am old enough to have had the pleasure of seeing the great 60's team and in all honesty I think I enjoyed the game more then than I do now! Probably because it was a golden era with trophies galore and some truly great players. There's another reason though and that is because it was a different game then -more unpredictable.
For that reason you cannot really mix up players from then and now because the game then was more complex and you had specialist players, such as proper hookers, open side prop, ball playing props etc. So some players from then wouldn't get a game now and vice versa.

Only seen a couple of them play but thay can all talk the talk so they'll be fine.

Cannot argue with the bulk of your sixties team Sandal,but I would probably put in Coetzer ahead of both Prinsloo and Greenwood and Bob Haigh before Williamson.

Oops! forgot about Bob Haigh - yeah I agree with that move. I wouldn't be too dissappointed if Coetzer replaced either Prinsloo or Greenwood such was the quality of them all!
