Interview on Radio Leeds between 6pm and 7pm, his dad is from Southampton aparently, amazing how these Aussies who come over here have close relations who are English,scottish, welsh, irish etc etc, isnt it? nice to see him here at the beginning of december anyway

I think I read that his misses has previously worked over here for a few years, so they both know exactly what they're letting themselves in for over here. He makes all the right noises
in that interview, with wanting to embrace all the different aspects of the English lifestyle and likes to experience new and different challengers, sounds a top lad as well.

Agreed - that lad was virtually unstoppable for the short time he was here and had a lovely off-load game just to complete the package; a real shame he didn't work out.

Let's hope that Poore is here to graft - if he has a similar ethic to Southern but better luck, he could be a barnstormer. Fingers crossed.

Some people do place experiencing new challenges before the purely monetary aspects of life.
If the financial side of things are not vastly inferior I can see why he would want to play over here.
Anyway, he does seem to have made a good impression.
If his on field performances match this he will do for me .

Not sure what to think when Aussies/Kiwis come over here and effectively declare themselves for England/other home nation before they have even played a game in SL.

To me it seems a bit pre-emptive - it could be considered confident but could also be seen as arrogance that playing for England is something that is quite easy to achieve.

If somebody has asked him the question directly and he has answered it then fair enough but i always feel a bit meh when players talk about international ambitions before they have proved themselves over here.

Obviously hope he lives up to his ambitions though.

I believe his mums English, not sure if he has a UK passport.
