| on the weekend 10th - 11th of December will be the Barla county cup finals will be playing at Belle Vue
I hope the club can sort out the pie and peas and liquid refreshments on both days in the Flats  should be great weekend
can the club confirm ? |

i think we might be bumping into each other again . i did put up a link on this on the other thread but im not sure how it works.
very glad to see so many wakey teams there .
As for me 6 years ago i was standing in the bitter cold trying to boost the confidence of a small bunch of lads and 1 girl after the first part of 8s season was not that great. how happy i am to see a few of the boys being the first ever side in crigglestone 30 year history to get to a barla final.
always knew some of them had it in them . im looking very forward for my son i never got to play as mentioned above in anything remotely like this and school was just union for me and hokey lol.
be nice to see wakey players and fans down there . you never know you might just get to see a future wildcat. |

Surely this situation will allow you to fully enjoy the occassion and I am sure you will - you have already done the hard work.
Seeding only takes away the asperations of the junior clubs - and that can't be right., in my eyes anyway |

dont agree with this mate , makes it very unfair on teams out of div1 . if this had happened maybe you might not be enjoying a day out on the 10th just a thought. nor would the seagull of been offside if all cups were seeded ( |

I remember a 3rd divison side walking to a final at BV and beating two division 1 sides and 1 division 2 side on the way.
That team came from Crigg and had no right to win the trophy, or so Stanley thought, they produced a programne for the final before we knocked them out.
Normanton should have beaten us in the final but they "did not play on the day" and that can still happen. |

two year ago the lads got to the barla U12s final at Fev and on that day they played Hunslet Parkside, they got niled, they never seem to score against them and the defeats was always heavy. They hadn't been beaten in that season and the task was a hard one,
we was grateful for the day but the defeat and taunts afterwards help bond them into the side today, nine of the players from that team still remain.
as U13s they got to the semis so its something that they do not want to lose this season
at the beginning of the season we played a friendly at Skirlaugh where Steve MacNamara was there, his comment on that game was he had never seen a side of that age play so devastating rugby 30 -0 up at half time
this will be an entertaining game and be well worth coming to watch |

The highly successful, BARLA Key Security Yorkshire County Youth & Junior Cups are all geared up for a weekend jamboree of finals, with seven titles set to be decided, at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium, Belle Vue, Wakefield on the 10th/11th December
The weekend kicks off on Saturday 10th December at 11.00 am when Dewsbury Celtic take on Hunslet Warriors for the under 13’s crown.
The Hunslet club is also represented in the under 14’s final which kicks off at 12.30 pm when they take on Stanley Rangers.
And rounding off the first day, a mouth watering Wakefield derby is on offer, with the meeting of Stanley Rangers and Westgate Wolves in the under 15’s decider.
Day two of the weekend kicks off with the under 17’s clash between Featherstone Lions and Stanningley at 11.00 pm. Following this, the under 12’s final features the first of three Hull finalists on show, when East Hull oppose Crigglestone All Blacks at 12.30 pm.
At 1.30 pm Meltham All Blacks take on Skirlaugh Bulls in the unnder 16’s final before the under 18’s contest, between Elland and West Hull, brings the curtain down on this classic, BARLA extravanganza of age limit amateur rugby league, at the famous Belle Vue Stadium home of Super League club, Wakefield Trinity.
