Shame for the guy, he he's been a true leader on the pitch and an excellent asset off it. At least his experience is not lost. The silver lining is it opens up an opportunity for someone else, hopefully one of the clubs home grown players.

On a lighter note, the shoulder specialist Morrison went to see has a fantastic name!

Shame all the best to him at least we still have him as one of our coaches as i am sure he will be a good asset even off the pitch. We need to look at another signing now did he count on the quota.?

Shame to finish like that but at least he can concentrate on coaching. He would have only been back up next season anyway. Really wish we had kept hold of Howarth now though.

think this could be big loss to us, morro in a quality team would really have been a big assest, think we have to get someone else in if poss , still got some time to sort this thanks for the memories morro you inmho was a great servant to wakey on the pitch and lets hope some of your experience can be passed on to the youngsters

Guess it frees up the money for Dowes now. Not sure Morrison will be replaced immediately, think we are still well covered there and will strengthen other areas first.

He will sure be missed on the field. This guy was a fantastic player for WTW and I hope he goes on to be a great coach.

Just thinking as it stands with semi unlikely to be here next year and obst not yet signed we don't have anyone in our squad that has played 30 first team games for us!

He always gave 110%. Its obvious he knows his body will not stand another season of his high work rate,I would love to see morro succeed in his new coaching role because as always, the effort and desire to succeed will be there.

Big hole to fill on and off the field. Glenn is a true leader and has shown a great deal of determination and commitment whilst playing in the Super League.

Although his playing days are over it's time for him to focus on the next chapter of his rugby league journey, coaching.

Always a sad day when a player is forced to retire and not being able to finish on his own terms. Good luck I hope he brings all his enthusiasm to his coaching as he did as a player.

Damn, wasn't expecting to read find this when I logged on, gutted for him and it's a shame he couldn't bow out at the end of the year, instead of being forced into it in this way. At least he's still going to be around to pass on his huge knowledge to the lads coming through the ranks and he's top bloke as well.
