On the discussion of Amor, if murph is definitely to go. An ideal opportunity to ask for Amor and all the gate money from annual Leeds vs wakey fixture perhaps?

So as bren has already alluded to, we bring him over here, sort everything out while he is very unfit - then he is released in the off season where he can get fit and probably be an asset to another side??

Typical Wakefield, we do all the hard work only for another team to reap the benefit.

Hickey shouldn't have played this season. If he'd had turned up in that condition to any other SL team their coach wouldn't have put him anywhere near first team rugby. Hopefully Agar will be alot stronger than Kear and have faith in his young academy products.

That's time wasted developing an overweight journeyman which could have been used on developing our youngsters. Maybe, the difference between some staying at WTW for the long haul and moving on!

Hickey certainly had potential, it's just a shame that after persisting with him to get him anywhere near to match fitness it'll be another club who'll possibly reap that reward

I'm baffled by this one - unless there has been a very good deal done, which seems unlikely, I would suggest that we've had our pants pulled down. Again.

don't know what people want here. he's fat, he's unfit and has done nothing. by all accounts he's on the lash all the time. he's here for a holiday. i can see him enjoying life in london. we've helped him have a good time to date, perhaps mr glover and mr agar have simply drawn a line in the sand and said enough's enough let's not waste any more money on the fat pig. i have no issue with this stance, in fact it's one i support and endorse.

had he spent the last two weeks training and getting fit (not to mention the last two months) then i'd say perhaps there were signs that he was serious and was worth keeping. truth is he's only managed to demonstrate that he likes food and fizzy cold lager.

perhaps he'll knuckle down and do well in london. it could be good for both him and good for us too.

Give the club a bit of slack here. The bloke that was most instrumental in his signing has now gone, Hickey is nothing more than another recruitment failure to add to his list.

Someone who is quite knowledgable on training matters told me that Hickey had let his condition slip that far it is highly unlikely that he will ever get back to SL standard

I fear this guy will come back to haunt us when fit.

struggling to get my head round this one , new coach comes in and starts getting rid of journeyman ....... no im going to need a little longer to work this one one out

Guys, just another point to remember. The rules have changed next season and we are down to 10 rotations at sub. The days of the big prop giving 5 or 10 minutes action may be a thing of the past.

A fit Hickey would have been an assett, sadly he wasn't even close. Lets hope the bright lights and temptations of London are too much for him and he stays out of shape so it doesn't come back to bite us on the backside. Does open up a quota spot which is useful. He needs replacing with quality though, the pack could do with a bit more size.
