What happened with Chan and the crowd on the far side when he went off?

he gave the crowd the finger the crowd gave him a drink

he was given stick for not leaving the field from our fans, he then showed us "the finger" as he came round the corner he continued to get stick to which he replied "whats the score? whats the score?!" one of the coaches taking him off the field heard something said/shouted from a fan (not sure what) the coach then reported it to a steward

the steward went home and told his dad

He gave the crowd the finger and he got it back as he hobbled past. Answered the jeers with 'what's the score?'. Fair play to him.

He also said "Shut up F***wits" a few times coming past us, don't think he apreciated the shower from those in the corner

Yes he gave it and then ran crying to the steward. Heat of the moment and soon forgotten.

Congratulations to the Wake supporter who threw a drink over the Crusaders player as he was being helped from the field. You really aced that one - now grow up.

Not condoning the fans behaviour - but when did it become professionally acceptable to 'finger' the home fans?

Hope they are going to take some action against these "supporters" then? What did everyone clamour for when it happened at Cas? Does the same apply here then?

not condoning what happened but there's a difference to a 1/4 pint of beer and plastic bottles been thrown, in fact it didn't reach them and went on supporters at the front

i dont know mate i think its a case of people in glass houses and all that, every club has its share of tools that watch them and unfortunatly the club gets tared by them. this incident may go unpunished but i read on one of your other threads that the rfl were sending an observer today after what happened at cas with thomas (with our set of tools), so if this was true more may come of this beer throwing incident.

What like a new game to keep the fans amused at half time ???

They, the RFL would have to deal with some other allegations today, a gesture from a player (no doubt footage of the game will cover this) and foul abuse from a trainer (if you believe) this message board, so i think thats the end of it.

Why it concerns other teams fans who did not attend is a mystery and thats not a dig at you.

well i dont expect that will come out just in the same way that mr elima was never mentioned to be taunting the cas fans, but thats how these thing go they can all be made to look very one sided

As mentioned before the beer actually covered a few female Wakefield supporters stood near the front. I lost intereast in the game for a few minutes then (easily done today

) to see how our super stewards reacted. Didn't see any stewards in the area at all! A few pointed fingers from a distance.
I'm sure if they'd have gone up to the beer stained women and asked who was responsible then action could have been taken.

I would agree completely that it's not acceptable for a player to do that. But two wrongs don't make a right and my point is that the fan should not have retaliated. There were enough supporters around me giving him the finger back and everyone actually seemed to be having a laugh about it. We didn't need that idiot to take it one step further
