Before anyone criticises this thread as being unsupportive, might be unsettling, nice to know I'm behind our players, Too early for this type of discussion etc . . etc . .

It's just my opinion which was'nt formed over the course of one game but has been considerd, measured and has been made without emotion for what I think IMO is the best for the club.

I hope it fosters plenty of debate which is what this board is there for.

Brough - Don't take it for granted Danny!
Stosic - We're missing you!
Moore - Don't lose the explosive side of your game

Snitch - Impressive return to Trinity and now a 1st choice player
Pitts - Done well but don't forget to excell! Don't settle for being average.
Sculthorpe - Xfactor and enforcer and also has immense experience
Wilkes - Hard work and honesty in spades

Obst - Sorry little Sam but we need a bit more from an over seas player
Henderson - Some honest hard work and secent performances but on balance . . .
Petersen - Sorry but injuries, circumstance whatever it has'nt worked
Demitriou - Almost a legend and stay in spme capacity but not as a player

Jason Demitriu has been and continues to be an absolute stand out player. Desire,commitment skill and knowledge, just a fantasticaly consistent player that never shirks and always gives 100%. JD has lost nothing and should and probibly is the first name on the team sheet.

Agree with some of your other comments but have to say you are WAY OFF the mark in your view of Jason.

those targets won't improve us at all IMO

This is only my opion.. but i wouldnt get rid off anyone..
I would fetch in some younger players.. and give them time on the pitch when the older players, (Drew, Jd, Martin) need resting.

my personal view is obst is a great ambassador to the club and with a decent tackling pack would be awesome in attack , his 40 odd tackles at first game of season tells me he should always be here, just find someone to do half the work, ealier on , again stosic was doing that.

To build a future your right in my humble , latu over drew, brough has to stay, JD has to be be given a position at the club that reflects his stature in the local community, and what we as fans think of him, i think he now deserves legend status, not only as a player but as a bloke and a human being!

your opinions on signings i cant argue with but ive only seen about half of them play!!

Big fan of sams so he wouldnt be in get rid, and as drew will be going soon and latu inconsistent no decent hookers coming through sam would stay.
Think jd has another year.

Otherwise would agree, might seem controversial but drew didnt perform last year and was awesome in about 8 games this year over recent games hasnt performed (as have none of the squad) but he's old will be on a big whack $$$ and maybe be better using that money elsewhere for an 80min consis player ?

can i just say when Grix was helpin run the show early doors or when he picked that ball up inside his own try line skipped 3/4 players and made 2o yards not one of you slagged him off!!!!

Wakefield Trinity have a squad..... we may not be the strongest squad....we may not be the most skillfull squad but we are a damn tight knit squad who put there heart into most games.... i say most because even the greats have bad games!!!! but we as supporters are as much a part of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats as those who walk the field wearing OUR colours maybe we should support them whatever!!!! most do but alot just bitch!!!!

Josh Griffin - No thanks! Decent player I know but he left to Hudds and if he realy wanted to play for Wakey he would have stayed with us.

Peto - Give him a few more games yet, come back after a bad run of injuries. I do beleive if he can stay fit he will be a big plus to the team.

but the same thing was said about Snitch and to me he has been a stand out player this year

fwiw he is a lot better than what he is showing, but he is no winger.

Snitch has been very good yes but Griffin is a diff matter.

Snitch was playing week in week out if i rember rightly where as Josh only played like 10mins in the cup against Salford.

Don't see much point in getting Josh back tbh.

Can't see how you can write off Petersen, citing injuries, whilst you would keep George, who for me is far more of a risk in regard to injuries. The fact that George's knee ligaments ruptured so easily is ominous. Hope he goes on to prove me wrong but I would be wary of offering a long contract.

Dont agree re Demitriou, Drew and Obst.

Demitriou is consistantly our harderst worker and often turns the game by putting in extra effort when heads are down. He is also a great player consistantly coming up with great performances in support play, gaining ground and getting obver the line.

Drew can and often single handidly turns a game.

Obst puts in great effort tackles well above his size and we look a better team creativly when he is on.

Its a shame that when a few results go against us we start doing this to our players. Some of the other 'bigger clubs' would love to be where we are in the table and have some of our players.

These negative threads about players did not appear until 2-3 weeks ago. Did we expect to win every single game?

I am not a big fan of George at all I must be honest! I think Peto is a quality player the fact he has been out for a year give or take needs to be taken into account when thinking about his recent performances he just needs to get up to full fitness and no one will even remember thinking about getting rid of him

No but we are not Leeds or Saints who have a devine right to win



I fully agree apart from with Drew I think his salary is a worry as he must be near the end of his career

When things are going good and the team is playing well why would there be threads/comments about players not playing well?

We are in a slump so what do you expect?
