Thought we made far too many mistakes at crucial times but we showed character to fight our way back into it in the second half when Wigan had the momentum. Wigan were faster than us, stronger than us, were FAR better in support, and they defended very well. Save for the first few minutes! Wigan deserved it in the end but we showed some good stuff and I thought Petersen and Atkins looked good.

Unfortunatley no one else did. Never mind you can strive for 8th place now and a good play off series!

In my humble opinion the ball games was lost when Atkins refused to pass as the first half ended , if he wants to be considered international class then he must sort this part of his game . If we had gone in at half time winning then the 2nd half may of been different.

Thought jd played well.

Half backs were unusually quiet today.

I thought the whole team played well today,

despite the defeat i still walked home with a sense of pride in the team.

Thought it was a good team performance, particularly in the second-half. If we hadn't spilled so much ball we could well have won. The errors were spread right through the team and, sadly, it's hard to think of someone who didn't make a mistake.

Agree 100% but it's a step forward from the last two weeks.

Petersen showed what he's capable of.

Three players who i've not been over happy about went well today so i'm happy with that

i like latu's new more direct style

and to be honest for a first game frank looked ok to me, wigan certainly thought he was a threat and posted fileding on him almost immediatly

peterson to me has been unlucky from day 1 and deserves a break from the whingers, played well today and if ryan learns to pass the ball we could have sorted that side.

Few mistakes - your having a laugh aint you ?? we must have knocked the ball on 10 times !! We were totally out played today - the score line flattered us but must say that Wigan are really starting to turn it on now... It was men against boys at times today and the pk got totally battered !! We need Stotic and Bibey back pronto as its a young side and need some experience in there... Its no shame losing to Wigan the way they played but i was disapointed with Brough and Drew today who made lots of errors and poor Sam had to do more tackling than attacking as no other person was making the takles... Scully tried his best and had a good game but couldnt do it alone against such a powerful pk and is a spell player... Winterstein wil be better for the run out as was really struggling to catch his breath at times and we look a little better defensively around the edges but really disapointed with our 7 and 9 today...

what as loyalty to do with it.so its good to say we played well today just because we support them.if any any players where to read this they would get the wrong impression because to some we played well when we didnt

1) For the past couple off weeks weve been gettin trys off sum mistakes
This week we created our own trys.
2) Our deffence effort was miles better than the last couple off weeks
3) Our kicking game was on form today
And finally number 4) We played more as a team today rather than 1 man glory

I agree that on the edges we looked better today but i think the fact of the matter was we were well beaten by a much better side and totally dominated us in every area of the pitch...

A little OTT but i understand where you are coming from, both teams were far from there best. Wakefield are now in there slump, i have seen it coming for a few weeks prior to the first Wigan game, now they have to work there balls off for the next win, i think its going to be tough, but you are desperate for a win to pick you back up.

1,we had the ball in wigans 20 for the first 20 mins of each half but only scored 3 trys.

2,still conceded 28 points at home

3,our kicking game was poor

4,yeah just about every player made basic mistakes today

so no it wasnt well played today

certain players certainly were rubbish i agree with you for probably the 1st and last time and there is one player who would be in the 4th team if we had one for me next week

Thanks for this - I was beginning to think I'd watched a game in a parallel universe! Our defence was poor. Individual taclkling was poor. We didn't back up players making half breaks. Our forwards had no "punch". We didn't look after the ball. We didn't have a clue how to break their defence when we got in to their 22m. Apart from that we were very good!!
