Terrible ball retention and you can't give a team 18 points start. We were chasing the game from the first minute.

Now that gave me a wry smile.


But at times I do despair.

Whilst we were trying to score on every tackle in the second half and coming up with mistakes aplenty, all the giants did was play the percentages and wait for us to make a mistake and then capitalise on it. Why Hall threw that pass at the end on our own line when we were already dead and buried beggars belief.

Having got back into the game after an atrocious start, we somehow managed to end up losing by 30 points with the giants never having to get out of 1st gear.

When we get to the middle 8 stage we will struggle to beat anyone if we can't do the basics properly.

to be fair, we were pretty poor for the majority of that game, our ball retention was pitiful at times, we had the game won in the first 10 minutes then rested up and started throwing silly passes, dropping balls giving away penalties etc.

at 18-14 you were on a roll and i feared for us, we shouldn't have been in that situation but we don't seem to learn.

luckily we were too good in the end, but be honest, like us with warrington, do you really expect to win these games?

It's not losing its the manner of the defeat and the size of it that is the most concerning thing considering you didn't play anywhere near your potential

To be honest before the score to make it 24-14 there was only one team going to win. True Huddersfield bombed three chances in the first half but the momentum was with Trinity. A Hall knock-on on the half way line the daft passes gave that away and Huddersfield lapped up the errors as Trinity imploded. It wasn't the superior ability that won you the game.

At this scoreline, I thought we could have got our noses in front.

i don't actually recall wakefield being ahead at any point in the game? how can you lose a game that you have been chasing since 1.03 on the clock

No sorry that's ridiculous. Yes we made mistakes, but they were clinical enough to punish us. They won it emphatically. The fact that SCOTT GRIX scored the FASTEST hat trick shows that.

If we played with less erros, the result would've been the same, just that the score line would be closer.

you were on top for about 15 minutes altogether, apart from that we were by far the better side, and even then we were poor for a lot of it.

Could've, shoudve, DIDNT - 12th it is.
wakey didn't look like they were going to win that game at any point.

Don't get too excited about your victory today we were understrength and played poorly and lacked in every department - I don't think you were by far the better side - you were below average and we were really embarrassingly poor. I would say that was a fair summary.
p.s - I have never seen Crabtree make a yard he is as dynamic as he is handsome.

BTW you should be proud of jordy, he played really well

Weird match today, went expecting a struggle with 30% of our salary cap out injured then 18 0 down in no time and everything going right for them I thought it would be a long afternoon. But we kept going and at 18 - 14 we were on top and if we'd have kept our head you never know what might have happened. Let's get next week out of the way and get some players back and get back on it.

At least Wigan haven't been playing that well, hope it will continue
