In yesterday`s game v Cronulla he made 36 tackles, no missed tackles, 14 runs for a total off 115 metres with 1 offload. He also played long minutes yesterday as the cowboy`s were reduced to a 2man bench very early on.

He`s 26, 193cm, 113 kg and has been playing NRL for over 4 years, think you could say he`s not bad.

If it's someone deserving, then it would be someone who's been here a while. In my book that would narrow it down to JD or Sam. Sam's future is uncertain, whilst JD, if he feels up to it, has another year.

The 'outsiders' would be Martin / Drew / Latu - but do put us out of our misery!

With regards to what you are alluding to; should a player sign a 10 year contract with Trinity and subsequently the club doesn’t get a license to compete in SL after 2011 then surely any contract negotiated will be void, aside from the younger players if they have a clause.

simple question only requires a simple answer. is it also true that sponsors and independant businesses are paying a number of your player's salaries as the club cannot afford to and never has been able to? mind you good business i supppose

It may be a novel concept for Cas, where sponsorship money in the past has not always reached its intended recipient.

Back on topic: Tonc still has age on his side, so if the rumours we have signed him are true, we should be getting someone who is not simply here to top up his pension. From what I've read, he sounds like a good signing, but as usual, judgement will be reserved until he's shown what he can do on the pitch.
