I think I was the only one to buy one today, or at least that was the impression I got! They seemed overjoyed to get an actual sale, although I have to say it wasn't overly obvious that they were actually selling tickets.

Let's hope they sold well. A few people were on about it at the game Sunday saying they would just pay on the day so they will get a shock

They seemed to be just handing out leaflets. They seemed most confused when I said I just wanted a ticket, not a leaflet.

TRT just to let you know we actually sold around 15 tickets yesterday with the main aim being awareness for the event in the white rose which was full of Leeds Rhinos, Castleford Tigers and Bradford Bulls fans.

The poster and and flyers clearly stated the price of the event and i thought the staff worked well especially Daddy Cool who was getting lots of stick but found time to amuse the white rose public.

15 tickets is disappointing but still if the market wasn't there then so be it. How many did you sell in Wakefield town centre last Saturday?

I wasn't having a go Davide, I applaud your effort and wish you every luck with any other venues you select. My 6 year old daughter thought Daddy Cool was fantastic and couldn't get over the fact that he had high fived her! The White Rose Centre was always going to be a hard sell, it being in Leeds.

Most people seem to think they can pay £10 on the gate. So this could affect ticket sales?

The Celtic Crusaders and Diversity event is £10 pre sale BUT normal price will resume on the day of the event. Wakefield Wildcats only play one home game in August and i do hope Wildcat supporters take the club up on this £10 pre sale offer.

I think it is a fantastic opportunity fot the Wakefield supporters to bring down a friend to what should be a great event. Diversity are headlining the biggest event this year (Mobo awards) and the Wildcats are playing some good rugby league and still on for a top 4 finish.

All i want is for Wakefield Wildcats and supporters to be the best in rugby league and that does not mean the most but the loudest and proudest fans so bring down your friends and purchase a pre sale ticket for a tenner BARGAIN

is it only me that finds the whole idea of posting on here from the marketing boys a bit weird?

i mean, we will be there anyway,and as usual we will try to drag anyone else along!

and while we are at it....the posters ive seen look like its marketing a diversity show with rugby as second billing!...and im a bit worried about just how much they have cost us?

not against initiatives but as time goes on this ones starting to get at me ..and im not alone.

I think it's a great idea and praise the club for putting ticket son offer the only negative I have on the promotion is it's normal price on the gate as not everyone will know you have to pre-buy tickets to get in for £10

I do agree with you on that one.I think the club run a very high risk of upsetting a lot of people.

lets say 3000 die hard adults go and pay anyway, we are already 24,000 down, so we need 2,400 new people on top to break even before we start paying for diversity,so thats 5,400

lets say we get 10,000 in that day?
ok it works so long as diversity didnt cost 46,000
9,000 = 36,000
8,000 = 26,000
7,000 = 16,000

Chappy you cant measure the monetary value that diversity will bring, as you dont know how many would have come to that game anyway and what they would have spent beer, food stalls.

Then you cant gather, whether if any of the fans that come for the first time due to the attraction of diversity initially come again and again then become season ticket holders, buy shirts etc.

They are playing in Quest anyway on the saturday night so I doubt they'd cost a substantial amount i.e. we brought them all the way up from london just for this show had to pay for hotels etc.

Id imagine where getting them pretty cheap as it will be just an 1/2 slot stop gap on the way back home. So id suggest they just said ""why not"" another x grand etc, (they could set off straight after game back home, one would hope not)

I doubt where paying ludicrious amounts of money.

Whatever happened to the alternating home/away games? We (Leigh) only had one home game in May, one in June, and one in July! Goodness knows how the RFL expect 'businesses' to run, with three income-earning days, in 90-odd! We've had to issue all fans with sat-navs, to remind them where the stadium is!
