Done mine got the numbers.

A couple of my colleagues got the standing order thing from the bank but they got there membership numbers; but until they have sent the standing order back to the bank which they have btw until this is processed will this count?

I'm not absolutely certain, but if they have a membership number I think they will have been counted.

I've maximised the numbers in our house and had the kids walking the streets with membership forms; not sure I can do any more!

i've got the numbers but my bank has rejected the standing order mandate so i need to sort that out

we got ours sorted with the bank and hope it makes a difference...

Had that problem myself. Had to go to bank to sort it out.

I think it's pi55 poor by the club that we are having to put ourselves out by having to go to our banks or ring them to sort a problem that the club as caused.

Harsh - some banks have been fine with the information that was provided, so I'd suggest that the fault lies partly with the lack of consistency in the banking sector.

Not harsh at all. Mine was returned because they didn't put the date on to start payment so I went into the shop to seek advise only to be told you will have to fill the form out again and get to the bank asap if I want to be in the draw.

That was the response I got, was also told if the club didn't get my money by 1st July I wouldn't be in the first draw.

luckly my direct debit went through ok but if i'd have had that kind of response from the club i'd have been saying well thats £2 staying in my pocket! harsh maybe but true.

I got the same. When I called my bank I was told they could see the dd but they needed club1873 acct no and sort code so had to ring club back upto get info then get back in touch with the bank to set it up. Don't think its right that you don't get entered in to the draw if you can't pay due to no fault of your own. You should be entered in to the draw but not allowed to collect the prize until proof that the dd is set up.

Some people on here blaming the club re the banks but thats clearly not the case these are not direct debits but standing order mandates two transaction types that are fundamentaly different.

The reason my bank came back to me was
1. Information who to make standing order had not been provided by club.
2. I had asked for quarterly payments, bank had not been given this information.

Come on guys without something cocking up it wouldn't be wakey would it lol. All I know is we have to ask anyone and anybody. Aslong as we reach the target. 200 is nothing.

Good point. I know this is probably not what the club want to hear but you can cancel a S/O much easier than a direct debit. So even if you are not committed or can't afford it long term you only need to be in it long enough to satisfy the RFL. I know that's a very mercenary comment and against the spirit of it all but it's true.

And very inkeeping with the mercenary approach of this franchise system.
