| I'm not being negative for the sake of it. I'm just saying where we are weak.
I think you'll find it hard to find a Cas fan who agrees with you about Hall.
Moving McMeekan simply weakens the front row. I'd rather have Pitts or even Croft in SR.

| [quote="Trojan Horse":1y8i1lpm]Walmsley is strong defensively. Barely missed a single tackle last season.
Hall player pretty well in right centre for Cas. There is always Roarke who may throw his hand up.
Pitts or Mckmeeken seem the obvious choice for second row. Faatili may find himself with a shirt in round 1 if the shuffle demands it.
We have good depth though still and even with a few injury’s we have a good 17 out there who can do the job.[/quote:1y8i1lpm]
Not the best news to suddenly hear. I thought after the Cas game we'd be looking to go into the season practically full strength.
On the props, It depends on where Faatili is in his preparation and fitness. We have Atoni and Vagana already missing from playing prop/SR, so even if we go with Mike, Rodwell, and Caleb we're still missing someone to fill a spot, it's the reason we brought Faatiti over. If he's not ready we're gonna have to make our minds up whether to bring Shaw in and go with Stourton and Pitts in the back row with Cozza at Loose.
It's about getting our best 17 on the pitch we have at our disposal. As you say, it's either Hall or Rourke for the centre spot, and I'm not sure who I'd go with tbh. Rourke is probably more defensively sound but Hall may be a little better in attack but it's all an opinion.
But at least we can still field a quality lineup even with 6/7 starters out for a change from previous SL years.

| How times have changed because in the past we would have been looking to move a back row forward into the centres.

| I thought Hall on the whole was pretty solid defensively on Boxing Day.
I remember the outcry when he left the club in that swap deal. He was at that point, probably one of our better players. He's had a fair few critics hasn't he since coming back. You don't turn into a poor player overnight. Give the lad a chance.
Personally, I'd be happy with him starting.
As for the pack, we also have Shaw and Lingard who could also be utilised

I don’t care whether Cas fans agree. I watched a few Cas games back end of season where Hall played right centre and he was one of Cas’s better players and certainly has solid defensively. What Cas fans may say won’t change what I watched.
We have to accept that we may be weakened whomever we move. Pitts moving from 13 weakens us as does Mckmeeken etc. we may have to hope Vagana is fit so he can slot straight into right SR without disrupting the pack too much.
Will be interesting to see how Powell shuffles if needed. Hopefully a couple come back so it makes it easier.
