|
I hope they do bring plenty of support and fill the away end. At Trinity there’s separation mostly so there shouldn’t be much of an issue. I can’t recall any issues when KR brought support previously and I think it will really add to the atmosphere when big away support comes to Belle Vue.[/quote:1jauuj6k]
It was a bit of a joke, but actually I do remember incidents with HKR supporters (some of them!)
And even the last time we played them!

| It was too long ago that we relied on away supporters to bolster our finances. I do not believe that the RFL have a requirement regarding the percentage of tickets a club must make available to away supporters. If Hull KR can fill their ground with season ticket holders then good luck to them. I guess it would be every club’s dream to have the guarantees season tickets bring especially with all games now on Sky and fixtures subject to change.
With regards fans we all have our share of those out to cause problems. I suppose that because teams like Hull and Hull KR have large away support the problem appears worse. No club can afford to lose the money brought in by away supporters, what do we want the revenue generated by teams like Hull or that produced by Catalan or Huddersfield.

|
In answer to the earlier question, Hull and Hull Kr used to share an Academy for a short period of time. IIRC had an alternative pick system. I think Rovers gained Mikey Lewis from that process, even though he’s a lifelong Hull fan.
[quote:1q2su3cz] Didn't Hull FC have the 1st option to take Lewis but chose an alternative young lad?
The joint Academy split a few years ago. Hull have invested heavily since and have started to see several players come through into the first team last season. Rovers have invested less in their Academy.

Not long after the split Rovers were denied an Elite Academy Licence due to poor performance but then later given a provisional one with a review planned (2023?). If Lewis was taken from the Joint City of Hull period it doesn't look like Rovers have improved much during the provisional period?

| Cant see a problem here.
KR, just like every other club, will put themselves first and good for them in selling so many tickets.
We would do exactly the same

Actually they do have a requirement 10 percent of ground capacity , tbf to kr they approached the rfl who in turn approached the 7 clubs they thought might be affected by the restriction and they all agreed. Can’t say I disagree with them it was just more highlighting it
