A ten team competition would mean 9 matches home and away which is 18 in total, and then to make up 27 games in a season which is probably required for tv,and obviously match day income for home teams, how would the remaining 9 matches that would be needed pan out, who plays whom and who plays at home or away. It will be a nightmare for planning a season fixtures.
But if Super league was increased to 14 teams, that would be 26 matches [13 home and away for each team and then the magic weekend game [27 games in total which would mean 7 matches the Magic weekend rather than 6 as now.
They could continue with promotion / relegation as is now, team finishing bottom of a 14 team SL goes down, winner championship goes up'"
2 x 10 is just a re branding of a reduced Super League and a reduced Championship and the only reason, it's called Super League 2 is to sugar the pill for the 2 clubs (or more) that get kicked out. - I say 2 or more as this type of restructure could result in a fully contrived top flight.
Quite ridiculous and another nail in the coffin for the sport.
