It would be interesting to see a stat on back to back tries; Cas have excelled at doing that this year - it's obviously a deliberate strategy - and it's a real hammer blow to the opposition when they make two quick scores and pull away on the board. I'd like to see us with some set plays from our own half that could produce something similar - we certainly have the pace out wide to pull it off.

And I'd agree that last tackle plays need to be better - too many kicks to nowt - although there aren't many who can do what Gale and Sneyd do with the boot.

That's very true; I'm a big advocate of the marginal gains method that Dave Brailsford used with so much success at British Cycling, but it doesn't really work if the basics aren't in place. It feels now that they are - so it's much easier to zero in on small improvements that will finesse the overall performance.
