Quote ="vastman"Well we'll have to differ on that one, perhaps it's just me who doesn't buy the complete transformation of Hall from last years public enemy number one to this years must have.

I don't think he was completely useless in a Trinity shirt last season, he had his moments, as did Miller and a few more, but that's the point, they were just fleeting glimpses amongst the dross that the team served up last year for whatever reason. I certainly wouldn't have shed a tear if he had been released in the off-season, but it's turned out to be a blessing we hung onto him given the longish term injuries to Arundel, Gibson, Lynne and Tupou. Him being in the team has not been detrimental to the team has it? Can't remember if he played against Hull, but obviously that's the only game we have lost under Chester. You could say he was in the right place at the right time as re. picking up loose balls etc like at Leeds and being on the end of the final pass at Widnes to win us the game, but what he did against Warrington in my opinion was a bit more than just being opportunistic. The guy has talent, but yes he is generally weak defensively, wherever he plays, but at the moment like I have already stated it's not to the teams' detriment.
