Quote ="upthecats"We need to go to Headingley in the right frame of mind. If we respect the ball and stick to a gameplan, be patient and a bit more disciplined then I'd have us down as favourites to win.
People may think that's a crazy statement, but when we went there in the cup (a game that really mattered) I thought the game was a lot closer than the final scoreline suggested. I believe we are now playing much better than that and Leeds are playing worse. If we can be within touching distance coming into the last 20 mins or so then I think our confidence and fitness levels should see us home. With the amount of Leeds players involved in the Exiles game, then surely we should be the fresher in the final quarter....providing we play the first hour in the correct way. We MUST go there expecting to play the Champions at their best though and nothing less.....
If we do manage a win and make it 4 on the spin then who knows where we will go.....there's a real tough period coming up just after that though and then a bit of an 'easier' run in.....something to look forward to for sure....'"
Yeah, I feel that if we perform like we did for the first period of the match, we could get stung by an angry Rhinos outfit, and I don't think they will be open to letting us score 22 unanswered points at Headingley either. But by the same token, Headingley isn't so much of a fortress this year so if we play well and complete our sets, then there is no reason we can't sneak a win.
