You have your opinion fair enough, I do not intend to derail a thread. What I will say is regardless of shoulders etc the ball went forward. A forward pass is a forward pass.
Charnley was following the kick up BUT whilst making a play at the ball prior to Burrow going down, did not make a deliberate play off the ricochet off Burrow.
As for the Ablett play the ball, he never regained his feet and never even attempted to play the ball with his foot. Yes most games players do not perform the play the ball very well, but that was a very bad one that should have been penalised and would have been in 90% of matches.
In my opinion the better team won but I will acknowledge I think the margin flattered Wigan.
