Although for my sins I'm a Cas fan, I always admired Nigel as a player. I never agreed with him going to Wigan, I said at the time it would ruin him. He should have stayed with you IMHO. Trouble is we still see the so called big clubs poaching the best players from us lesser lights

Have we all forgot that he was with us a phew seasons ago and then he went as second coach to warrington who were very poor that year until the new coach came in and sorted it out. With a team like that he could have done better dont you think, look at them now.

Christ! Anybody would think i'd said i wanted him as first team coach! I only mentioned that he was knowledgable and may be ok as an assistant.

So just to clear things up, do yu want him as first team coach or not?

I think he'd be a good choice as an assistant with a view to taking over in 2-3 years. However, what is the protocol in these situations? Hypothetically, if Gentle or A N Other got the job - would he bring in his own team, or would the board say we'd like you to have Wright or Cummings as your number 2 and mentor them for the next 3 years please?
