If he carries his weight and plays well then it won't matter. His futness will pick up quick back in a team training environment.

Think positively I'm sure they will get his weight down, after all they did sort out the business of the missing light bulb after your initial complaint, just needs a bit of time really to sort out these unforseen problems, just show a bit of faith and understanding.
