It seems like we have been waiting for this for an eternity, but finally, it’s here, our first home game. Today is the day our team can come out and show the fans just what they are made of. I was lucky enough to go and see them in France, and believe me, they are a very strong team and we all have a great deal to look forward too.
We should have a good turnout today, as tickets have been selling well on the build up. With the tickets being on sale at £10 and £6, you should have no excuse not to get behind the team. It really does make a difference to the team to have you all there, showing them the amount of support they have.
With all the changes that have been going on over the last few weeks, we really should thank the players for sticking by us, they have shown us how loyal they are and how much they want to be here. I would like to extend a personal thank you to Aaron Murphy, who we very nearly lost, but he decided to stay and for that we are very grateful.
Well, lets hope the weather stays dry and the crowds flock to see what promises to be a fantastic day, and remember, This is Wakefield and Together We Are Stronger!
Cant wait. All of a sudden things look a lot more positive .
I agree Aaron Murphy deserves a massive pat on the back ,he is the type of young local British player we should have on good long contracts and building a team round.
I hope there is a big crowd and we win in style. We have a big pitch with fast backs lets use them.
