I think the rfl have come up terrible in this. over the last ten tears it has never been possible to play super league on a holiday maker visa. When celtic were entered into super league they would have had to draw up new contracts and register them with the rfl. So the rfl have registered 6 players on holiday making visa knowing full well they were not legal. The fact is they should come out take ownership of this debacle and APOLIGISE to all rugby clubs but esp those who apllied for a licence. This is turning our great game into a disgrace.

you have to prove that you are eligable to work in this country ! i am a british citizen so my passport is enough..non-eu people should have the correct visa's etc!

The six players playing in Super League currently have the correct visas. This appears not to have been the case before this season...but can you really believe only one club in one sport would have fallen foul on this loophole?

I know what youre getting at, and i agree...im sure there has been other incidents that have gone undetected with regards to visa's etc , BUT....in a professional era, in a professional sport, the administrators of ALL involved here, SHOULD have made sure this didnt happen - Really we need our own house in order before we go trying to shift the negative attention towards other sports.

Intresting to hear craig spence' comments about 13 other super league clubs have players on similar visas and only celtics players were supposed to be exempt from the ruling!!
