Quote ="bellycouldtackle"Yes I watched it again. Danny Sculthorpe stood out for me, he matched the big Wigan forwards, he was our only forward that Wigan struggled to slow down, they seemed to put all our other lads on their backs with ease. Scully did loads of work, must have taken the ball up 20 times and he defended very well, no missed one on ones and plenty of agression.
He would be at the top of my list of players we need to resign.'"
have only got to the half hour mark so not seen much oc scully, however i will say that irrespective of saturdays game i would like to see him here next year. people who criticise him often seem to focus only on the mistakes when offloading, his alleged weight problem and his injuries. they never seem to consider how effective he is taking the ball up, how many offloads create second phase play (where we are weak generally) and how many defenders he draws to him. plus he looks pretty trim to me and his injury problems dont seem to be that bad. he played 25 games last year and has appeared in 7 this according to SL stats. hope he doesn't leave think he would be hard to replace
