This Saturday sees the first of many Tag Rugby Festivals that will be taking place over the year. These are great way of trying out Tag Rugby for the first time. This one takes place at Smawthorne, start around half 10.
Tag Rugby League in the UK has had a facelift for the 2009 season, bringing it more in line with the Oz Tag Rugby that is so popular Down Under and Ireland. This means it is now truly a sport of all, with minimal contact allowed between players.
If you are interested in trying this variation of Rugby League then feel free to come down and give it a go. If you want to come down and join a team with a bit of experience then you are welcome to join Wakefield CRL for the day, or enter your own team.
Food (and beer) will be available after we have finished while a Masters Rugby festival will also be taking place at the same ground.
