Although the result was disappointing, I have nothing but huge admiration and pride in Wakey.
It is difficult enough to compete against a side as a good as Saints at the best of times, but to do it after the week Wakey have had to get a result was really mission impossible.
Wakey could not be faulted for effort, but the execution clearly suffered from lack of preparation and anxiety.
But hey, we said all long the result didn't matter and it doesn't. This was a game to get through, which we did with dignity and fortitude.
Now we must, and most surely will, come back stronger and better, taller and prouder.
