| Talking now with mi supporters head on, but for my money Matt Bramald for head coach ......
Matt knows the club ,all the lads and has a real insight into the Youth Set Up at Cougars after a season with the reserves and being involved with the scholarship whilst he was still a player here ... another up and coming British Coach ... similar to Baz 4 years ago...
Personally far rather have someone like him than a 'Past it so called big name' like Schofield at Barrow ( Nigel Wright ...anyone one work out who's actually doing all the graft at Craven Park??)
Harlequins choice of Rob Powell as Head Coach has put to bed this idea of always choosing someone with significant playing experience as the coach in charge , in a way that both John Kear and Phil Larder have in the past proved ,wizard on the field does not always prove fantastic coach off it. For all its deficits .the RFL ,with its introduction of Larders Coaching Scheme in the 80's, has always been at the forefront of promoting quality coaches from its rank and file players (Brian Noble & Steve MacNamara not included ..) , we've embraced this in the past , appointing Barry , lets go with Matt (with Glen as backup as his assistant)
They both have the skills and knowledge we need .. do we really need to look any further ??
BRAMALD & BARRACLOUGH FOR ME....
Thoughts ???

You are seriously taking the Michael.....
We need a coach that knows our players and our set up ....
Not some overpaid prima donna who will do zilch for us (see Doncaster for details)
Now Brad Drew maybe .........alongside some like Glenn Barraclough or Dave Clark (ex Barrow ) who understand the lower leagues then maybe he could be your man ...but Hanley

| NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Outpouring of grief over
First of all. Cheers Barry you've done a cracking job at the club. Good luck at Wrexham
Secondly I hope we've got some brass for him.
Dreadful timing, although there's never a good time, who's out there to bring in? Martin Compton was the obvious one that came to mind. Or someone else that's had experience at Championship level.

| Gutted!, awful timing, wondering how long Barry has been aware of the move, these things do take time to arrange/agree so I assume it must be for some time, in which case its a 'hats off to him' for his professionalism as he has done some great work in the off season that has put us in good stead for 2011
Thank you Barry
This is a new beginning, we are in it to win it, onwards and forwards fans!

| Good luck Barry and thanks for all you have done at the club.
I don't see it as a disaster but an opportunity for someone else.
The club cannot mope about what might have been, it's a fact that coaches, players and even clubs move on. In the back of my mind I did not think that Barry would stop with us much longer, and the lure of an SL club (albeit a precarious one) must have been too strong.
This is a test of how serious our directors are, but, as long as its for the right reasons, I can't see why promotion from within (Matt Bramald) won't work. I don't know anything about his coaching or man management skills but he was a fierce and vocal competitor on the pitch.
I hope that the new coach has an up front relationship with the fans, Barry always made himself available. Whoever the coach is we should get behind them.

I wouldn't be seen alive at that dump, unless Keighley were playing there.

| What the .... is going on?
It's the same old with our team finally get going and on to something good bang it all blows up in everybodys face's i just hope we get a good decent coach who knows the divisions and how to get us back up again and who can also help us stay up in the championship.
sorry for sounding so angry but last year was the same good season ticket prices sell them then weeks after find out the club face's a winding up order and again bang 10 point deduction and no real chance of staying up.
Come on guys no more mess start fresh new coach and all the rest bring on 2011

| Wikileaks has revealed that Keighley directors will be trying a revolutionary new interview technique to choose their next coach:
The first test will be a rapping contest between contenders and it’s rumoured that first up will be Peter Roe v Stanley Gene.
The final test involves a catwalk a G string and thigh length high heeled boots. The mole would not reveal any more details but commented "we're going to sell tickets for this one"
The mole reported that this ensures that the participants can not only talk the talk but also walk the walk.
…. I’ll get my coat.
Always look on the bright side

| Standards must have fallen at WikiLeaks since Julian Assange got nicked.
I heard it was going to be a Prizefighter style boxing biff tournament involving Brendan Hill, Joe Grima, Ronnie Laughton and Neil Spencer.
Apparently Obeone was going to be appointed special guest referee to ensure impartiality.
Goosey and Rach have already put their names forward to be the skantily clad ring card girls.

Not yet Mick, they're waiting for the ticket design to be approved by the RFL and then it has to be printed in China.
Should be onsale about 3 days after the event.

It’s funny because the tickets [iare[/i hot cakes – it saves on providing supper and printing costs.
There are three real ales from local micro breweries under consideration. I wonder which one will be chosen?
Good News
A really excellent brew but in very short supply. Nice hoppy flavour with fruity undertones and leaves a clean edge to the pallet. Gets everyone feeling full of good cheer, an ideal glug for Christmas.
Fickle Fans Fanfare
This appears to be in abundant supply, rather loud and cloudy with a cloying aroma leaving a bitter taste in the mouth.
The Great Pretender
Starts off with real verve, and flavour but ends on notes as flat as week old lambrusco.

| I think the club will get some intresting applications for this job
Bramald and Barraclough are at first thought and you feel they would apply
From a personal Point of view Id love one of the Following who are coaching in Australia I know theres no chance of them coming back but Woody or Rammy would be my choice
But seriously
Im not saying who id like as coach im just thinking of names who might apply
1. Jon Sharp is looking for a job and I feel he might apply
2. Martin Crompton is desperate to back in coaching
3. Jason Demetriou - It wasnt that long ago when he said he wants to be a player coach in the championship
4. Drad Drew for the same reason as Demetriou
5. Joe Berry - Ex Cougar, learnt his trade under another Ex Cougar Harrison maybe he might want to step up a level?
Looking wider and more less likely but not imposible they wont apply
1. Jason Lee - Ex Cougar at BDH might want to step up to the pro level and with links to cougar park he might think about it
2. Brian Noble - Might sound like a potty idea - But being a Bradfordian Keighley is not far away and a short jourey, It seems there would be no avenue for a job in domestic rugby league for him (dont know how Union or NRL discussions have gone but if there dead in the water maybe just maybe hed give it some thought)
