| Perhaps it's time to let the club grow again, Craig will undoubtedly bring a fresh approach to a club that has to be positive move by the board.simple facts seem to be Cougars put all there money on black and it came up red. So in my opinion it's start again with players who can see beyond the money. And the club simply have to bring young hungry players to the club and build for the future, Cougars will always have there better younger players cherry picked by the so called bigger clubs but that's the nature of the beast case in point Jamel Goodall cast aside by Bradford because of a bad injury at 16 years old and on the verge of quitting the game, Cougars take a chance build his confidence and a contract a cas is his reward ,that's the reality of it. But if the club can put its faith in the youth system and bring local talent though I'm sure it will bring its own rewards. My thought would be give the new coach a chance don't expect miracles in the 1st season. Stay positive

I believe it's because the players current deals end on the 30th November.

Have you no concern for fans who have already bought 2017 season tickets who are worried the director might take the club bust before then? Do you not know his track record pre Cougars?

| Mr C I don't know why you support the club. (If you actually do)
You are doom and gloom.
I can't wait for the season to start.
New coach new players isn't that what fans wanted.
Would Marwan still be at Salford if they had gone down. I doubt it.
I know our directors and I can assure you they are 100% behind our club.
People like Mr C just give negative vibes out all the time.
If we have a really good season would he put his hand up and admit he was wrong.

| I am not remotely violent but don't you just want to give Mr C a jolly good slap. Everything that we were all wanting come the end of the season =- fresh start, new coach, new keen players, club still in existence, promise of attacking rugby, realistic goals etc etc has come to pass. Roll on new season. End of.

So my point about hardly any is right. As you have only pointed out 1.
No i dont to be honest. Any club/bussiness can go through bad times.
All clubs are struggling for income. Offering a reduced price for the next season is what they all do.
It doesnt mean a club is going to go under.

I don't know about that, are you saying that we should not take the chairman's expressions seriously? Why?
When GF said that his goal was for the Cougars to be a SL team within, what, 5 years? At the time I thought it was a pretty tall order but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, if not a SL team then at least a top championship team. However what has happened has been the total opposite, we have been relegated, and will spend at least 4 seasons in ch1 (as has been stated promotion is not the object of the exercise for next season), hell we didn't even make the play off's this season, I don't think this is good enough. I think GF has made some terrible decisions and I think I have a right to complain about it and hold him to account!

Are you for real?
Nobody comes to run a Rugby League club to make money.
In this country only a few people who run clubs could receive a "dividend" but most will put those monies and their own back into the club and sport they love.
By the way, the law in this country can be an ass but some laws cost people big bucks., just a helpful thought.

| It's easy enough to check the share holdings and classes of shares held by each shareholder by visiting the Companies House website, which is free to access. However this only provides basic information because of the type of submission that has been selected by the Company. I must admit that I found the information quite interesting so why not check it got yourselves?
Just enter the Company Registered Number: 07091799 on the website.

| Interesting. How come Mr Fawcett suddenly got £245,500 of shares paying a fixed interest rate of 4% pa? That's £9,820 a year!

| You ever thought that was a personal loan to the club.
Do you really think the club was in credit by £245k.
How can you syphon money from a club when there is no crowds down.
My friend was upstairs when Gary came up with the gate reciepts against London Scholars and there was less than a £1,000 took.
Now its not rocket science but that would not cover more than 4 players wages for that day alone never mind players wages and contract money when we're away.
I think as a small club were doing really well. Reserve team which can't be said of many Super league clubs and Championship clubs.
A youthful team which looks on paper more than capable of being competitive.
A coach who has been well schooled at Batley under John Kear.
Instead of knocking everything the club try to do get behind them or simply stop supporting them and keep your negative thoughts to yourself

Had to laugh at that one. Did he spin you that story or did you just make it up? Where do you think Fawcett would have got quarter of a million quid from to lend to the club? You'd have massively increased respect, business backing, sponsorship, goodwill, local buy-in, crowds, rugby league nous, volunteers, feel good factor not to mention sporting success and be a magnet for the community if Fawcett were to walk (or be led away). The dwindling number of (duped/naïve/stupid - tick as appropriate) people who still back him and keep him in power just prolong the agony and do the majority of (now lapsed) Cougars supporters a disservice, preventing them from supporting the team, as they will not set foot in CP again until he's no longer involved. Hence there are "no crowds down" as you say. And please don't refer to Keighley Cougars as a small club, despite what Fawcett has done to it. Cougars were big in the past and will be again - but not until this guy has gone, I'm afraid.

Hmm
If you wish to keep digging then you're welcome to, but I would suggest that the demise of the club is not down to one person only.
Oh and if you think Cougars have EVER been a big club, to put it in perspective, Leeds regularly get attendances that are in excess of the clubs record attendance which happened in the 1950's!

| There is more chance of Gary doing a personal loan than embezzling a quater of a million pounds from the club. Like I said before Churchill your not a supporter and the club don't need people like you bad mouthing it constantly.

| Not posted on this forum for years, but I do read it. Why does anybody reply to this Churchill person. He is an obvious STIRRER / WINDUP merchant who gets great pleasure in posting negative thoughts to invoke a reaction. Don't respond, let him stew.
Mr Churchill, as a volunteer at Cougars, I along with my team, meet with Gary regularly, who is very supportive, as we are of him. There is a lot going on behind the scenes which will benefit the club. We have a new coach who has displayed a professional approach along with new backroom staff. There has also been no shortage of players staying and new ones joining, with the emphasise on youth for the future. That can only be seen as POSITIVE (recognise that word)
The volunteers shall all be at Cougar Park on Monday & Thursday next week. We've planned to do some painting, come on down. Usually find the paint needs a good STIR prior to application.
